Why does ravens coverage go dark during the offseason

4 posts in this topic

why isn't Touchdown Balimore on year round. The NFL is a year round league and there is always something going on be it player franchising, free agency, cap maintenance, schedule release, the draft etc.

a few years ago there was a show Purple Friday that covered teh Ravens and the NFL as a whole. i believe these shows would get good ratings all year long. after going through the real colts, the Baltimore Colts, fiasco i'd like the team to take more of an interest in marketing the team to its fan base all year long.

When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought it was referring to coverage in general and the Ravens not being mentioned. Was just going to say that the Ravens don't generally make a splash and so the news media doesn't tout what we do.

As for the actual topic though - I think most shows you reference are pretty game centric and season centric. While there is probably enough off season activity to support a few "special" episodes of such shows, most likely not enough to warrant keeping it running continually throughout the off season.

Thank you 52N19 and ravensdfan for your feedback.

Regarding the TV shows, there are a lot of factors that go into those -- including having a TV network that has time slots to air them. In years past, a few specials (for the NFL Draft, for instance) have aired.

However, we have Ravens coverage 365 days a year across all of our digital, mobile and social channels. If you visit BaltimoreRavens.com, our smartphone app, our iPad app or our social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instragram, Vine, Google+), we will have something new for you every single day. From coverage of the Combine, Owners Meetings, trade rumors, signings, injury updates, the Draft, OTAs, mini camps, offseason workouts, player community events, Training Camp, etc., we agree that the season never ends -- and it's our job to provide year-round coverage of the team. If something is happening with the team, we will bring it to you.

Thanks for following and stay tuned!
