The charges were dropped Tuesday, and Serbu has agreed to appear on the radio with Modell's son, David, to discuss what happened, said Baltimore County Deputy State's Attorney John Cox.

Cox said he received information about "a physical condition" that Serbu has, but said it would be inappropriate to elaborate. He said he also had a number of conversations with David Modell about the charges.

"We talked about a resolution that we all felt was appropriate," Cox said. "Mr. Modell suggested that this individual have an opportunity to apologize, and then converse with him on his radio show."

David Modell is a better man than I, I would've been out for blood. Wonder what this mystery condition is? Buttheadery?

Mental condition maybe, but physical condition? The physical condition he's using as an excuse is probably an uncontrollable bladder so he had to urinate there saying "I had no choice.".

Wouldn't that be interesting?

"Yes I'm a Browns fan and I personally hate Art Modell, but see I have this medically confirmed weak bladder and it's by pure coincidence that I was standing in front of his grave when my bladder couldn't take it anymore.  What's that??  Why was I even there?  Well um........"

At the end of the day, he's a loyal Browns fan that will never get to experience the sweet taste of victory.  That's  a big enough punishment and I'm only semi-joking.

If convicted he would have been forced to watch all of the browns past heart-wrenching failures and ravens super bowl wins, once a day for the rest of his life like red right 88 and the drive.

Whatever the physical condition of Serbu, whether by a catheter and a tube down his pants leg, or by zipper, the act was pre-mediated and the intent was still the same. It was a charge of disorderly conduct in a cemetery by a 62 year old man that was old enough to have known better.  It was a degrading, despicable act that was the ultimate sign of disrespect. He should be held accountable with some measure beyond a public apology imho.

A humane act by the Modell family for his sake, but had that been my family member....I don't know.

Let's just say that I hope that I could be just as forgiving.

That said, why isn't Art in the HOF, yet? Just looking at the list of non-player inductees recently, there's no doubt that he deserves a place amongst them. If the NFL genuinely cares about this desecration and his family's legacy they should consider everything he's done for the league and induct him in the next ballet. On leaving Cleveland he unselfishly never compromised that team's legacy (leaving it with them) and launched a 'new' Super Bowl winning elite organization – the Ravens. This eventually led to a league growth that is key to NFL 9 billion dollar yearly profits, revolutionary local new stadium infrasture projects and increased player salaries.

Art Modell showed class when others did not. Put Art in the hall (period).

Like what? Probation? Jail? What?

Serbu should be locked up for a few days in a behavioral heath unit somewhere.  David Modell was nice enough to be a guest speaker at the Ravens Nest meeting I used to belong to in Bowie.

Just put Art in the Hall of Fame if the league truly cares. Then that dude is as irrelevant as he should be.

I reckon they should wait until 2018 before inducting him.

It's only a coincidence that Ray Lewis becomes eligible that year. ;)

Seeing as how the charges were dropped, those would probably not apply,  But, perhaps a donation to one of the Modell family charities, and/or various forms of community service for the period of time that he would have served if convicted.

There is one form of community service that is known as community restitution where by the punishment serves to benefit the community harmed...for example Serbu could be made to be involved in the upkeep and cleaning of the Modell family plot that he desecrated, and/or mow a public cemetery's grass, or counsel others who have committed similar crimes of public desecration, etc. are just a couple that come to mind.

It is OK to be a Colts,Browns Ravens fan.  At least NE is not in the recipe.

Haha, that's wild. I'm not trippin' though. It's always great to see a spot like Cleveland suffer for all eternity. From Baseball to Basketball and Football. You'll never be relevant again, frauds! And I'm loving every minute of it. After this stunt and the cheering of Mr. Modell's death, I have had nothing but hatred for that place. Continue to soak in your fraudulence.
