Okay that was sad.
I actually feel bad for Browns fans.

You do? Now what if Steelers all the sudden play this badly? Would you feel sorry for them?

If all it was, was playing badly then, no.

But for Cleveland it's far far far more than playing badly.  It's completely inept ownership.  It's completely unqualified leadership.  It's coach in way over their heads.  It's a majority of players who don't give a rats patooty.  It's a franchise that is broken from the top down where all the fans EVER get is nothing more than a glimmer of hope that is usually dimmed by the end of October.

You can't compare the Steelers to the Browns.  The Steelers are a very well run organization.  They are almost always in playoff contention.  Their fans can always look forward to December football.  Always.

Browns are usually in contention for a top five pick. A pick that will leave Cleveland at the first opportunity.

In December all Browns fans look forward to is Christmas shopping.

I can't imagine being a fan of a team that is that bad, for that long.

These are pros. They practice every day on situations. theres no excuse he missed that field goal. Remember the Steelers vs Colts. I can see why Manning was so pissed on that day

Yes they are pro's.  So are the guys they play against, in that situation, us.  Maybe we deserve more credit for making a good defensive play.  In no way am I saying the Browns are a good franchise, but to use a blocked FG as a measurement of their ineptness is a little bit of a reach....

But id wouldn't fool with Ravens franchise. I like them just the way they are. Its the O's id would love to own them and id would change them and make them into a more contending ball club. Id would fire they entire coaching staff and front office staff. Id would hire a manager who would chew players out just like Sergeant Hartman does with his maggots! . Id would bring Billy Beane to Baltimore and give him what he wants as long it gets O's back to the World Series. Thats what id would do them.

Billy Beane is the best GM in baseball. But the A's owner wont give him what he wants. Billy Bean can be a genius if the owner let him have his own players and manager. If i owned the O's id give Billy Beane the highest contract for GM in MLB history. And he wants certian players,,Ill ask him ok,,But can these players get us to the World Series? If they cant i don't want them here unless they can get us into the World Series.

1. This is the wrong section

2. Beane has for many years the ability to choose his own players.

3. He's now the Executive VP of the organization, meaning he's basically the guy who hires everybody.

4. He's never actually won anything since taking over. His theories are nice and he builds quality teams with financial constraints, but there are many other teams since then who have built quality teams with limited financial constraints AND performed much better on the baseball field.

Great GM. Far, far, far, from the greatest ever.

Because the Owner wouldn't let him do his job. Just like Mr Angelos for years wouldn't let the front office guys do their jobs.

Just like the Colts in the 80s. Remember them? Because Colts had an clown owner named Bob Irsay.

The Cleveland Browns are so beyond the point of being cursed that I don't know if they will ever recover. Everything in that video was a string of bad luck that has continued for 16 years. Maybe with Hue they can start to break the curse little by little so it don't make it 17 years by the end of 2016. Injuries are one thing but they have continued to constantly year after year put the wrong people in charge. Yet the other teams make new hires and for most teams it works and they end up back on the right path.

The Browns need to clean out their scouting department and start over because they continue to make poor choices in the draft(especially at QB). Tim Couch over McNabb? Even Daunte Culpepper was in that draft class in 1999.

That doesn't surprise me. Randy Lerner has made a pigs ear of owning Aston Villa over here. Was paying an executive £1.2m a year to basically do nothing but make bad decision after bad decision.

I really think Hue is the best opportunity they have had in years.  They have to give him A) Control, and 2) TIME.  The H.C. turnover there is just NUTS.  There is so much wrong there, it's gonna take a few years to just turn around, not to mention get going the right direction.

Damn, I don't know what the average salary is for an exec in the premier but that sounds pretty massive for a club like villa. They're still in debt right?

What is the worst Browns season ever? I gotta say their first year. Who can remember when the Ravens racked up 41 points in Clreveland in 99?

  1 2 3 4 Total
Baltimore Ravens (3-5) 7 10 7 17 41
Cleveland Browns (1-8) 3 0 0 6 9

It's big money for a team like Villa who are constantly looking at relegation every year and show next to no improvement in the day to day running of the club, financial deals, player acquisition etc. They're still in debt but it's been reduced by £70m to just over £30m due to the new TV deal. It seems Lerner and the Browns couldn't find decent executives if their lives depended on it.

Ok that's what I thought. I got a real laugh from their fans when one of the villa players posted a photo of his expensive car on his Twitter immediately after they got absolutely destroyed by Liverpool. Yeah Lerner should probably stay away from sports franchises from now on.

Browns WR gives up No. 10 jersey for RG3

Darius Jennings, the undrafted wide receiver out of Virginia who signed with the Browns last May, wore No. 10 last season. In 2016, he'll don another number because there's a new No. 10 in town.

S/o to my new teammate djennings_cav6 for giving me #10#DAWGPOUND pic.twitter.com/QQYOmCUmln

— Robert Griffin III (@RGIII) March 29, 2016

Hooray for teamwork.

Now Griffin just needs to find the form that earned him Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2012 with the Redskins

“When I looked in his eyes, I see a young man who's been kicked around a little bit," ...

Just who in the hell he thinks he is? He aint special in fact he's not even a super star like Manning.

Probably gave some money to the young WR. RG3 has worn that number since high school. Can't hate on a guy for doing that, it happens all the time. I bet it happens with some of our FA additions.

Better than Reggie Bush petitioning the NFL so he could wear #5.

If you are referring to the Peter Angelos part of the post, then that is absolutely true. Peter Angelos had his; or his family members', hands in everything that Baltimore did. It stemmed from a time when his regime wanted to trade Bobby Bonilla and David Wells before they became free agents at the end of the year and while the Orioles were not looking like they'd be in contention. Peter nixed the deals and the Orioles went on to win some more games. He then thought he knew more than his braintrust and hired puppets and yes men who would never stand up to him and would simply do as he told them. Many times we lost out on some key free agent signings because the deal would be sitting on Angelos' desk awaiting his final say so. Angelos was also interested in names and not really performance which is why you saw guys like Joe Carter on the roster. It was a shame and cost the Orioles a lot of their fan base. For a long time I was convinced I was the only Orioles fan in my part of town. Nobody wore O's colors or merchandise.

It is no wonder why the Orioles have turned the corner recently. He finally got a good baseball mind in Buck Showalter in the house and was finally convinced that after what, 17 years of being a laughing stock of baseball that he didn't know what he was doing.

As far as The Browns go, I can't really speak for them. I think it was in the late 90's they had a run with former Baltimore draft pick Derek Anderson when they won 10 games. It looked like the start of a turn around, but then they had a huge injury bug season like the Ravens did last year and they never recovered. They've had a revolving door at head coach so how can they ever expect to create some model of consistency? Make a plan and see it through. You blow it up in year 2 of a five year plan every time and you keep running in neutral like the Browns have done.

It was in reference to the A's owner not letting Billy Beane do his job. Had nothing to do with Angelos, who everybody knows is a terrible owner.
