New respect for Harbaugh and his tough discipline.

13 posts in this topic

After what I saw last night in the Super Bowl, and I am talking about that classless brawl, I have looked at Harbaugh's tough team discipline with a new respect. I know the rumors were that he has got rid of players who have disrespected him and about his so-called doghouse. I know that after following a more relaxed players coach like Billlick it was going to take a little time to change the culture here. However, this past year I have seen a noticeable difference in discipline on the field and players not being unsportsmanlike and I liked it. After seeing that classless brawl last night, and believing in my heart that that is no longer the culture here, I can say I love it. I want my team to play tough on every single play, but I never want my team to be classless like the Seahawks were last night.

That brawl was pretty shameful, first player ejected from the SB and on a fight after a kneel-down... after they had just jumped offsides and completely sealed the deal.

There is definitely a huge difference in the discipline and coaching style and team mentality. The Seahawks lost all discipline after the crazy catch from Kearse. They thought they had it won before it was won. Whatever Harbs is doing is working. Playoffs 6 out of 7 years is nothing to sneeze at especially since there are so many franchises that haven't been to a playoff game in decades. 2 Super bowls in 19 years isn't too shabby either :)

In all honesty, i would be happy with one every ten years, clearly i would like to win more but i think thats a realistic goal when you think of all the obstacles to overcome....injuries, other teams, luck....

I hope Harbaugh stays exactly who he is.  Animated, focused, brilliant and always on top of the game.

Well Said

I hope he's the coach for as long as we can have him, hopefully till he retires. I wondered how well he respond to losing leadership in ray and ed, and the past two years, especially last year showed me he's a great leader in his own right

Harbaugh always plays to win. What happened to the packers would never happen to this team. And they would never lose discipline in a crunch time situation like what happened to Seattle. I'll take my chances with harbaugh/flacco over any other combination over the next 10 yrs.

I can't wait for our first loss next year and hear people talk about our record since our last Superbowl win.
