Speaking as a GM with a need for pass rushers I can only agree with this statement.

Had I known that Bennett would've been released, I would've made an offer immediately.

On another note, I'm thrilled to land Mike Daniels. He's a compact cannonball on the DL who is well versed in each of the two major facets. Malik Jackson played more DE this season and was highly effective. This move allows me to continue moving him around. Peppers has the age working against him, but he had arguably his best season in 3 years.

That being said, I could stand to lose him so Julius Peppers is now on the block.

You do realize he jumps offsides more than any other player? He single handily cost the Seahawks a Safety and a chance to win it with a FG. I'm not going to stand for that, if we had coaches in this game too I would have fired Bevelle after that stupid play call.

His savings were 2 stars regardless trade or cut. Also at 8 stars, it would have been hard to find a trade partner because nobody would have given me a 2nd round pick for him at 8 stars. It's why as good as Lynch is, at 8.5 stars nobody is willing to give me a 2nd round pick for him.

First of all he would be a 6 star cost for another team, and though you might not get a 2nd round pick, you could at least get something.... I'm sure you could probably get a 4th easy, and with patience a 3rd, heck if I had a 3rd I'd be all up in that...

He is also a top 5 (if not higher) 4-3 DE who plays the run and pass very well and has the versatility to move to DT in sub packages.  Does he get called for a lot of penalties?  Yes.  Do you live with it as he is a great player?  Yes.

Not that I'm disagreeing with the general sentiment regarding the decision, but honestly speaking, how many of the decisions (and especially trades) that go on in this league are done almost exclusively based on fan logic vs real (FO) logic?

Yeah. I'm losing a great player in Daniels. But I'm trying to go for more of what the chiefs run. Two great OLB pass rushers while the majority of the line is good run stuffers. I just need a few ILBs.. 

 

Plus, Datone Jones while not putting up the sack totals, did grade well in putting pressure on the QB. 

 

I just need depth.
