I've got 5 teams that I would absolutely love to have. About 10 others I wouldn't mind having.. and the rest.. meh. Fingers crossed for a pick in the top half.

OK, then - you get to pick about #16.

Fun Fact:

The 2 Super Bowl teams(Denver and Carolina) were selected 24th and 28th.

Yep, I missed on Carolina for just one spot

So what your saying is for the Ravens to get to Super Bowl 51, we have to let them slide down into the 20's?

Really liked how my D-line came together in that game and am pretty proud of my O-line as well considering what they were. They aren't perfect but I did well on a couple of players. Just wish I would have been able to take Havenstein, he was my top guy for that round but he went a few picks before me.

I built a grade A offensive line for my DaF team this past year.  Ereck Flowers was the week link, but this Oline was pretty damn good.

LT: Duane Brown

LG: Mitch Morse

C: Ryan Kalil

RG: Trai Turner

RT: Ereck Flowers

Curious to know what you all think. I'm sure we'll probably discuss things as usual but do you guys think that logically we could include a restructuring of contracts into the game this year? If we put our heads together I believe we can come up with a logical way to do it where it wouldn't be abused. Like here's an example that I came up with. Using the fact that before the season, the Broncos wanted Peyton Manning to take a $10M pay cut. At Joe's contract it is currently $28M, with that whoever ends up with the Ravens would see his contract go down to $18M. The catch is that he can not restructure anyone else's contract. If it's $19M - $11M, we can restructure 4 players at a savings of $3M per player. Under $10M would mean no restructuring allowed.

1 Restructuring of Contract $20M+ = $10M Savings

4 Restructurings of Contracts $19M - $11M = $3M Savings Each = $12M saved between 4 players

0 Restructurings of Contracts $10M & Under = 0 Savings

So that would mean, do you lower the cap hit of 1 contract over $20M for $10M worth of cap space, or go save an extra $2M by restructuring 4 player contracts? Basically if we did some kind of restructuring, I want it to be a risk vs reward of do you lower the cap space of one player but with 4 players it would save you more, etc. That's just an example, obviously we could discuss this and find a way to make it work, but if not then we proceed as normal.

I don't see much point doing this kind of stuff.

Restructuring benefits the team early but the consequences are felt later. I'd rather see someone brave enough to take on the Ravens this year without the option of lowering Flacco's hit.

Same. Hell, I have a plan for this.. You could even put me down as the guy who has the Ravens franchise. I think I could take them on........

The plan is simple. Trade my second round pick for stud WR Marqise Lee when Derek Henry is on the board :P

Tell you what allblack. If Henry falls to my fourth. I'll take him.

I can tell you my plans though. I have a cut list ready for my top teams

It's a good point I think though there would be less teams who would benefit from this than teams that would not. Therefore i am not a fan of your proposal.

I think it would mislead the purpose of a salary cap, Under your point we could just cut players salary that are franchise players.

For example a lot of QB would be allowed to part of that restructure. franchise players like : JJ Watt 14,5 mil, Darrelle Revis 17,0 mil, Julio Jones 15,9 these players would suddenly be paid like very good player but not like great players anymore.

Another point why I don't like it for example.  Broncos LT has a Cap hit in 2016 of 10,1 mil. Jason Peter has a Cap Hit of 9,2. Then Clady would be allowed to be restructured and suddenly he is 2 mil cheaper than Peters.

And finally if you get a team that has 4 players a shade above 10 mil cap hit you would get an additional 12 mil in cap space for virtually no reason.

Although I like the idea I think it is too difficult to manage restructuring fair.
