Barely.  I have 4.5 stars left and 7 roster spots to fill to 51 (when draft picks are factored in).  If everyone got 0.5 star contracts, it would cost 3.5 stars, so yes I can.

Anyone looking for pass-rushers, Trent Cole can be had for reasonably cheap. He's been a beast for his entire career.

Why? I asked several people about this, including Andrew who was in charge of the SOF and cap stuff, they all said the same. The rules say that it's cap hit-dead money for me, base salary for the taker. And he was fair game for everybody, for several days, and nobody said anything. I don't care if its a loophole, I'm the Patriots, and it's legit.

I liked the Kalil deal because it gets him and his brother together and it fills a need. Williams was not in my future plans whatsoever so I still get a young guy who has at least proven he can be a solid player from his rookie season. Haven't seen it since, but at least there is something there that shows he can be above average. With my tackle situation, I needed him bad.

I don't think most people questioned it from the Panthers side... I think people were questioning it from the Vikings side...
