I had no desire to tag Flowers, but I would've paid more for him on the open market.

Same with Cobb. Only now I have one star. I'll take that deal though

Kendall Langford is available now as well for anyone looking for a good DT

So to recap Jared Cook, Eugene Sims, JoLonn Dunbar, and Kendall Langford are all available on the trade block and I am looking for O-line help(I have 6 stars in cap space left) and draft picks in return(a TE as well if I move Cook)

Some Revisions. Truth told me that It's Cap hit - dead money not base salary like I thought. This puts me at 12 stars leftover.

  • Brad Jones(2 stars)
  • AJ Hawk(3.5 star)
  • Mason Crosby(3.5 Stars)
  • Tim Mathshay(.5 Stars)
  • James Starks(1.5 Stars)
  • Brent Goode(.5 Stars)
  • Brandon Bostick(.5 Stars)

Got you covered. Mason Crosby would be at 3 Stars saving. $3,550,000 - $600,000 = $2,950,000 (3 Stars). Brad Jones carries a savings of 4 total Stars. $4,750,000 - $1,000,000 = $3,750,000. And Tim Mathshay would be 1 Star. $1,340,000 - $480,000 = $860,000 (1 Star) Everything else on that list looks to par.

I'm looking to trade Dean Pees. He has a 0 Star cap hit.

I see you've finally warmed up to my "DC via consensus in the game threads" idea. :D

Yeah. We're rolling with Madden. I don't mean the game, either. I'm talking about we're going to lure him out of retirement or whatever he's doing and get him to call defense.

You got the wide receiver over here, you got the corner over here, and BOOM in the middle that's where the coverage is.  But there's no coverage that can stop Brett Favre.

Which is why I plan to bring him out of retirement.

I need a guarenteed ring if I play Bmore.... My offense (RT impending) will almost be unstoppable.

If I'm retaining Cobb Davante Adams is on the block.....

Actually am I allowed to un-tender guys?

Yes, you may. Tenders can be removed by teams until they've been signed, I believe.

That begs the question on whether the tenders are presumed to be immediately signed since the player automatically becomes part of the roster in our proceedings. If this is the case, then the answer may be different.

We've always had that as an option in the past so I can't imagine it would be different this year. I even asked about it long ago before we began. I'll see if I can find the post later when I have time.

Edit: I found the posts pertaining to when I asked the question and the answer provided by rmw.

Ah, I see. Thank you for referencing the conversation as I missed it myself. So then we are operating under the premise that the players accept the tender immediately, but then we are outright releasing them when removing the tender. That makes sense.

That's how I took it. Technically, IIRC, tenders aren't guaranteed until week 1 of the regular season, much like veteran contracts. I assume we're operating under the rule that we can cut/trade these players as if their star hit is a base salary rather than a guarantee.

Good point there. And I would assume the same on the latter.

Restricted Free Agents:

C John Samuda: 0.5

RB Matt Asiata: 0.5

+1 Star

RFAs cost either 3 stars, 2 stars or 1.5 stars:

Restricted Free Agents

You place a tender on all your RFA you want to keep. There are three levels of tender depending on how much you value and want to keep your player. The tenders are:

1st Round: 3 stars

2nd Round: 2 stars

Original Round: 1.5 stars

There will be a specific period of time, 24 hours, where all we do is place bids on RFAs. Any team can bid on a RFA in this time period. You bid on the RFA by offering up a contract of X Stars. After the period, the player's current team then can decide to match the contract which means he stays on his current team but with a salary that was the bid. The team that tried to bid for him cannot counter offer.

If his current team doesn’t match the offer, the RFA signs for the bidding team at the contract bid for. That team then has to give up the draft pick that was tendered on the RFA.

UDFAs can have original round tenders, the original team just has the right to match the offer.  If they decline to match the offer, they will receive no compensation.

Any interest on Reggie Bush, Stephen Tulloch or Brandon Pettigrew.

Also have thought about it and I am prepared to trade calvin. His cap hit for you will be cheap 12.5

Confirmed, except you'd add 6 stars.

I'm also using that special cut thingy which saves me 6 stars.

I don't add 6 i'm saving 2 by trading Cam and then adding 6 by taking Ahmad

6-2=4

That is accurate. You gain a net of 4 Stars through the transaction.

Still looking for 3-4 OLB. Not looking to spend a high draft pick and would prefer someone that is not a huge cap hit.
