Sad to lose Danny Trevathan. But in a seller's market for QBs, I'm more than content with Mike Glennon. He has starter-like talent and work-ethic and could be a serviceable start under Gary Kubiak after a spending a year behind Peyton Manning, should he return for another season.

I heard a very interesting interview with D. Thomas comparing osweiler to a young Joe Flacco. Interesting comparison. I have also heard Glennon compared that way in some respects. Could work well with Kubiak.

That is an interesting comparison. I'll be honest in that I haven't watched much of Osweiler, so I'll take his word for it as it stands. But I agree on Glennon. On tape while at N.C. State, I felt that he looked eerily similar to Flacco or a less polished version of him. I think so as well.

All 6'5+ and are called Flacco if they have a strong arm.

But there's a fine line between a Flacco and a Cutler.

Still interested in moving Vernon Davis.  No rush, but I'll jump on the right offer if it comes in.

Glennon has maybe half Flacco's arm.  Joe is a rare arm talent, there's maybe two other guys that can throw with that kind of a zip and ease in the league.

I think there's some similarity in their game. You are right about Flaccos arm talent. I would like to see what a real offense could do for Glennon though.

Well, Glennon certainly had two very high quality weapons to throw to last season when he was a starter, and he wasn't overly impressive during that time.

I understand their O-line was nothing special and not much of a running game, but you could also argue that he's had better weapons to throw to in his short career than Flacco ever had, and made a lot less out of it.

A below average running game and an absolutely porous Offensive Line are more than enough to bog down the passing game. Vincent Jackson also hasn't been himself in two inconsistent seasons. Putting up solid performances under those circumstances is impressive in my book. I don't see a reason why Glennon wouldn't have the potential to improve with a better supporting cast.

Not to mention a coordinator in way over his head.

Good point. The forced switch to Marcus Arroyo was an unexpected twist.

Well of course he's better. That's not the point. There is similarities and it would be interesting to see what Glennon would do in a Kubiak offense.

not saying the comparisons are always accurate. It's much like the black quarterback = Michael Vick thing.

If that WR corps stayed together, Jordy Nelson and Brandon Marshall on the outside with Randall Cobb in the slot, with Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball would just be unfair.

That does get old after a while, especially when they were doing it with Geno Smith.  It's like dude, he doesn't even run.

Randall Cobb is tentatively on the block. Will take draft picks for him... He has been tagged.

Damn it...........

I was hoping for one of the big receivers to hit FA.
