I actually really hate Andy Dalton. I think he's extremely overrated without a legitimate top WR to throw the ball. I do think he could do well on the Buccaneers, since they have two great WRs in Jackson and Evans with a huge TE in ASJ. They just need an OL, because Dalton can't throw if he's getting hit.

There's a good chance Dalton is flipped to another team at some point. Adding him doesn't prevent me from making the moves I want to make, so I figured I'd take a chance on him for now.

I already have Nick Foles so Dalton was going to go, it was only a matter of time.  Only acquired him to be the backup plan in case I didn't get Foles.  Wilhoite was a solid starter for the 49ers last season.  He is best fit as a backup ILB, but he is a good special teams player and helps out my defense.  He is slated to start, though that could obviously change with other additions.  I upgraded my front seven, which is my top need right now.

 

Rmw now has 2 inconsistent QBs (someone has to play well, right?).

I was wondering when Fitzgerald would get traded.  Surprised there wasn't as much interest in him.

 

Still feel bad for him though.  Imagine Arians walking to tell him he has been traded, to Tennessee, and their only decent QB was heading to Arizona in return.  I think he'd cry.

 

I'd assume this puts the Titans in position to land Winston or Mariota now.

Yeah Wilhoite is obviously not a need for me. I'm in the 4-3 alignment now but that's not even close to set in stone.

I feel like I can always flip Dalton for a similar player, especially at only 3 stars. Figured it was worth the risk if I don't want to keep him.

Yes sadly Mr. Fitzgerald will stay in QB purgatory for now. It will be interesting to see which QB he gets. Logan Thomas is now available. Lyle sendlein also available.

I think Mettenberger is a perfect fit for what Arians wants to do. I also think he can be a quality starting QB and I wouldn't be shocked if he has the best career of any of the guys from last years class.

So if I cut someone on my team who makes 0.5 stars and brings me down to 50 players I still dont get 0.5 stars added to my cap?

 

And if I sign someone in FA for 0.5 stars that means nothing happens to my cap too?
