I don't think they have an answer for Gronkowski whatsoever. Who on Seattle is going to press him with no help? I think you're right that they'll have to stack the box to stop the run because they've been vulnerable there. Leaving more room for Gronk. I'm also sure they are going to challenge Sherman's tackling ability with a few quick hitters early to test out his health. I just don't see Seattle being able to attack New England the way Joe can if they take away the running game.

But Seattle's press scheme could disrupt the timing of a lot of those routes, they may end up challenging Brady to beat them deep the same way they did Manning last year. I don't know if anyone can stop Gronk though, has someone taken him out of a game this year? I don't know if there is a player in the league that can matchup with him.

Pats needed everything to beat our practice squad corners. They'll be lucky to score 20 on Seattle. Hawks win by a TD.

They don't have our front 7. Pats may be able to establish their run game. The short passing game should be shut down down though. If they can focus on mainly having to stop the run, Hawks can get ahead early.

We didn't need everything to beat your corners they were the easy part, flacco and your pass rush were the hard part. ANd I know for sure wilson is nothing compared to january joe.

I'm starting to lean toward changing my pick to you guys. Seattle's pass rush just isn't there and isn't as good as what ours was. Wilson is more of a game manager handing the ball off to Lynch who does most of the work on offense. If you guys can stop Lynch and make Wilson beat you, you guys can win no doubt.

Yeah really its lynchs run game and if wilson gets loose scrambling im abit worried about. They have some fine players on the defensive side like bennett, sherman, chancellor and thomas but we can work past them. WIlsons receivers are bleh too if im being honest. If they give us the game they gave green bay we will beat them so heres hoping.

Plus the only real reason Seattle beat Green Bay is because McCarthy is an idiot. Both times on 4th & Goal, Belichick would have took the risk of going for it, BOTH TIMES. The play calling by the Packers in general cost them, and there won't be any miracle comebacks or "Fail Marys" this weekend.

So let's say Patriots win, does Brady retire and we possibly have Brady & Manning retiring in the same off-season? Or does he hang around to get a fifth Super Bowl? What about Belichick? Does he retire as Head Coach after winning another?

To be honest, i'm sure that they both will stay for another 3 seasons and then it will be garraopalo. But my thing is I think this is the last chance is the brady-belechick era that we can win one. After this season I think its back to being perennial contenders until brady retires.

McCarthy was not an idiot. It was early in the ballgame. Take the points. There were lapses in the 4th qtr you can lay squarely on McCarthy's shoulders.

Stop it. You don't believe that.

My prediction is that the Patriots will win this Super Bowl but let me say that it won't be because they are the best team. I think this Super Bowl win will be given to them by the refs. I think it will be a close game because Wilfork and the Pats will stack the box more so than they did with the Ravens and make Russell Wilson beat them with his arm, but............................I think the Seahawks stop Brady on several drives but the Patriots offense will stay on the field because of ticky tacky penalties. I think the refs have seen all the chumming around Goodell is doing with Kraft and being hands off with the whole deflategate until after the SB and they see all the stuff Lynch is doing that the NFL hates. I think the refs are human and will try to make their boss happy and throw those flags on anything close to help out the Patriots. I am not trying to be disrespectful to the Patriots, I am just saying what my gut-feeling is telling me. I think this close game will be flipped to the Patriots because of a controversial refereed game. I really believe all the talk this off-season will be how so many games hinged on controversial calls by the refs, including the Super Bowl and fans are really going to amp up their protests of favoritism by the NFL.

If that happens Cobra....  The game will lose so much integrity that it will begin to lose fans.  The Super Bowl will be relegated to nothing more than a status "end of season game"...

The last time a # 1 defense faced a # 1 offense in a Super Bowl the final score was Seahawks 48-8 over the Broncos; and the Pats were no where near a # 1 offense this year. A great defense almost always beats a great offense. Defense still wins championships. Always have, always will.

I honestly think Seattle has a shot, Pats O-line isn't all that and I don't see them running it on Seattle, Seattle's press can disrupt the timing of their routes quite a bit, and you know Edelman is going to get decked by Kam Chancellor the second he comes across the middle. Gronk is tough to stop but if anyone can do it, it would be Seattle. Kam and Wright are 2 guys who can take away a TE and while Seattle has struggled against TEs this year, they have given up 2 TDs in the past 12 games to TEs and we all remember how great they were against them last year. The question for Seattle is offense but they have played against tougher defenses this year and still got their points.

Patriots win 31-21 with the last Seattle TD coming in garbage time. The Patriots can move the ball on Seattle no problem and their D has a big day to boot.

What makes you think the Pats will move the ball with ease?

They'll spread it and take what the Hawks give them. At least 8 different Patriots will have receptions. Both teams will have a big gain or TD with a flea flicker (cheating right?) Blount has 90-100 yards and two TDs.. The Patriots moved the ball really well in the last meeting but came up short in the red zone. I don't think Gronk played? The D stops Lynch like they always have and keep Wilson in the pocket were he can't beat them. Lopsided win for the Patriots IMO.

2012 Game. Seattle won 24-23 on a Wilson 46 yard TD pass with just over a minute left. The Patriots secondary was awful that season. It was really the game that made Seattle believe in themselves. Like it or not teams generally measure themselves against the Patriots and beating them does wonders for their confidence.

Lynch will stomp the Pats' front 7, Wilson will run and extend his play actions, and their defense will get into Ms Brady Queen.  Short passes ain't gonna work against the Hawks' defense. They will punish the catchers and get into their heads before thinking about catching the short ball.

Gronk will run into the stop sign cuz Ms Brady is too busy looking for a hole to lay down and his WRs are looking for the punishment before catching the ball.

The Pats can't hang with physical defense.....

PS: If the Ravens didn't run out of bodies for corners, the Pats will look like a deer in the light.......

A game from 2.5 years ago?

You sound like the Pats fans who thought that the Ravens game would be a blowout because of 41-7.

The Seahawks aren't as good as they were last year but they're better than they were in 2012. There's really nothing that suggests that the Pats will be able to move the ball on them with ease except for, as berad said, your zip code lol.

No one has really moved the ball "at ease" on the Seahawks all year, that team hasn't been blown out since like 2011. The only team that came close really was Dallas.

I'm not seeing how that trend stops next week unless Thomas and Sherman's injuries are worse than reported.

As much as I don't want to support them for obvious reasons, I do think the Patriots win. Much more complete team if you ask me. Better coached, too. Seattle is a team of great athletes that are good football players. New England is a team of good athletes that are great football players.

In the NFCCG, the Packers outplayed the Hawks for three quarters, and frankly, the Hawks looked like track stars running around with helmets. They played with poor technique and with little discipline for most of the game. They are good because they are fast and big, not because they are talented. That's not to say that they don't have talented players, because they obviously have several. But many of their guys are just athletic marvels.

That's an unfair assessment of the Seahawks.one game doesn't determine who they are as a team. The Patriots cannot stand against a good defense. They aren't going to have their way with Seattle. Dink and dunk if they want but seattle hits HARD and FAST. Those undersized receivers are going to eventually hate getting punked

I think some of you underestimate the bill belechick factor, im sure he is gluing his eyes to seahawks game footage all day at home and at practice. He can't let another superbowl slip away.

I'm sure that's he'll be looking very hard all day to try to figure out how to cheat without getting caught...

he knows he can't play fair and square and expect a W....

his numbers are inflated the balls deflated and his intellect exaggerated but this can never be imitated and all my rhyming has been exacerbated as another scheme deemed illegal by the league to him will be initiated  maybe this is too complicated .....

My friend wants to give me Seahawks and 2 points. The wager is who is buying dinner at Mortons. Should I accept this offer? This game could go so many ways but I feel Seattle might be able to blow them out.
