Tenacious Faulker

Anyone seeing Campanaro as a fantasy sleeper in 2015?

Yep Yep He does. Campanaro has more raw talent than Welker/edelman could only dream . He is more like Cobb or Royal in talent. He can make tougher catches where he has to go after the football. He can make awkward adjustments and pull in the ball. He has legit 4.4 speed. He just has to clean up his routes a little and focus on more detail. The west coast/spread offense values a good slot that is in good sync and timing with the qb as a chain mover and security blanket WR. However Campanaro offers some big play potential from the slot.

A good slot should be in sync and timed with the qb, read the defense like his qb and read what the qb reads then pick his route to best find an open area according to what he sees. Edelman sometimes makes bigger plays but only if Brady can drop it in the bucket where Campanaro has speed to get deep and some skill to make some big plays on his own that defenses have to respect.

I'm not saying they will use Campanaro as the slot in that way or that he will definitely work overtime to get in that flawless sync with Joe but Trestman and Harbs could very well use him in that role or at least something similar or in some games for particular game plans. I dunno bout ff value however. I haven't played it yet. I would like to play next year. I think some leagues give points for more catchescatches even if that WR only averages like 11-12 ypc like many slots do. If our offense features a slot in that role then there isn't much to worry about with players ahead of him on the depth chart. White WRs that are good happen to be bargains lol in the draft, free agency and probably ff to. I love WRs and TEs that are bargains due to underrated skills, low production that's the fault of bad qb play, and character concerns.

I think he has the goods.  He just has some bodies ahead of him.  Anyone see any FF value coming there?

He needs to be a number 2 at least to be Fantasy relevant in this offense. Even when Marlon Brown broke out in 2013, he wasn't fantasy relevant. I wouldn't draft him or add him unless there were significant injuries and he was penciled atop the depth chart as a number 2 receiver which would make him a number 3 option if you include Pitta.

So if Torrey leaves and Steve Smith retires or gets injured, yes, he might have value.
