While Zach Thomas has been very underrated at LB, Ray Lewis has had a way better career. His 2000 season is considered by many to be the greatest of a MLB in NFL history. Thomas never has been as physically gifted as Lewis. There are almost no other MLB's that could run sideline to sideline like Ray. Tiki Barber said later in his career that Ray Lewis was the only MLB in the league that could have ran from behind him on that sweep in the Super Bowl and taken him down. Ray Lewis motivates his players and the people around him to play at an elite level. Zach Thomas has never had that kind of impact. And while I will agree we have had better players drafted in the upper rounds, plenty of players have come from nowhere and been awesome with the Ravens under Ray's guidance. Ed Hartwell and Adalius Thomas come to mind. Zach's stats may be awesome as well, but you have to sometimes look beyond just tackles. You can suggest that us Ravens fans don't look at the stats, but we do. We also are smart enough to realize that if Zach Thomas had 15 more tackles than Ray in a season, it was nothing compared to the leadership of the defense that Ray had that year.
I'm just saying i'd rather have a smart player who does just as much as a athletic freak like Lewis. Zach Thomas uses his smarts to make a play, Lewis relies on his speed and power, something Zach did not have but yet put up similar numbers. Looks like i've hit the hot spot!!
Dems fightin' words over here

Every fan is to some degree a trash-talker for their team. We are no different really.

My brother is a huge Dolphins fan, I was cussing him on Sunday because I was forced to watch the Dolphins game instead of my beloved Ravens (we live in Ohio). But of course, I was still interested in the Dolphins game just to see who we would play in the first game of the playoffs. As soon as the games ended we immediately started trash talking each others' teams, its all in good fun.

It's in our nature to support our team, and we aren't capable of thinking that our team will lose.

That being said...

I think the Dolphins have a few surprises coming hehehehe. They have the wildcat? We have the Suggs package.... and they have a hell of alot more studying to do to be able predict us.... oh yes!

muahahaha
Muahahahahaha
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I hope you are reading this Bro! See you on Sunday.... I'll bring the Rum.

Go Ravens!

Somehow I don't think I will be taking any numerical information from a person who truly believes that that website had 17,000 active members on-line at once. Calm down everyone... what we have here is a troll. And in the end the only true stat that matters on Sunday is W-L.

I don't see how cocky are players are. I've been checking out this Dolphins forum this week, and I've seen more garbage on there then any other team we've played. Trashing Ray for what he was acquitted for years ago. Not all the fans on there are bad, but it's pretty nasty there.
oj simpson was also aquitted for murder
What is not accurate? Thomas has more tackles, more forced fumbles and more TD's....how about for once i'd like to see a ravens fan actually give me a stats or a reason as to why they are right instead of saying it's a joke...
Youre an idiot, if you break down the stats PER GAME PLAYED Ray Lewis has more tackles per game, more intercepts, more sacks, more forced fumbles.

I've shut up Dolphins fans before over this. Do the math and cry.

The funny thing is, these guys probably worshipped Ray when he played at the U. And last I heard Zach Thomas was being run out of Dallas and blamed for much of the leaky run defense.

Can we get a moderator in here to clean out this trash?

This is a very good point. Career stats don't count when one player is older than Methuselah.

Hint: I'm talking about Zach Thomas
