Pro Bowl More Fun to Watch This Year?

55 posts in this topic

ESPN pregame in on now and the some of the commentators on the field are coming down very hard on Brady's credibility... that there's no way Tome could not tell that the footballs were deflated. Even 1 pound is substantial to a receiver or QB and easy to tell the difference immediately. Glad to hear some new ex players speaking out against Belichick's strongly plead most recent press conference. Richard Sherman's Arizona interview also was very critical of the NFL conflict of interest in punishing the Pats.

I hate the new format. Two Ravens on one team, two on the other............I can't even really choose a side. Two are wearing the Oregon Ducks jerseys and two are wearing Buccaneers jerseys. Throw tradition completely out the window.

I get ya. But I think Harbs coaching the 1 team will have me rooting for Harbs regardless. Though it's an "all in fun" atmosphere, I do think Harbs really wants the win this game. I hope he pulls off a few crazy plays. Even if they don't work it will be fun to watch them. Forsett told Dumerville he better not tackle him

I am sure at some point he will have JJ Watt playing offense.

I also heard that JJ wants to take a snap or 2 at QB. Don't know if Harbs will go that far but that's the kind of unexpected or atypical stuff that would make the game more interesting.

Not sure why they took it away from Hawaii, other than to have cities bid on the opportunity.

Guys are out in Arizona shivering, wear long-sleeved clothing. They should be relaxing somewhere warm and exotic, i.e. Hawaii. They moved in to Miami a few years ago and Ray Lewis (iirc) said it wasn't much of a vacation because he, and other Pro Bowlers, live there lol. Not many NFL players live in Hawaii, that'd be a good reward for them.

That's just my opinion, though.

because Hawaii's stadium is old, the stadium doesn't sell out, and I don't think the players enjoy it as much as they used to. The only guys that stuck around to speak to fans last year was Chuck Pagano (got a pic with him) and Brandon Flowers. The NFL will make WAY more money in stadiums within the mainland

Good point about moving the game inland for attendance and revenue reasons. What surprises me is that the players didn't stay for autographs and photos. It is the 1 time the fans vote them in as a Pro Bowler and I feel they should reciprocate by staying and interacting a little while with fans. Disappointing to hear and hope this year is different

Ah, forget you were stationed there and went to the game. Good points from someone who has experience.

lol yea, the players staying around May also be due to the locals not caring either. Those guys come every year, there was only about 30 other people with me waiting around outside the tunnel. (With little to no security) if that happens in any other state (outside of Alaska) everyone and their mother will wait in a line wrapped around the city for that opportunity

That's the absolute best/funniest suggestion of all time for the pro Bowl...The fans would be glued to their TVs....the NFL would have gas. Talk about a social commentary on what's been going on! Now that's would be making the loudest statement ever without having to say a word. You are either a member of MENSA or a cast member of Saturday Night Live. Somebody please call Harbs and give him your additions to the game plan

Well, thank you sir

Made myself laugh typing it, shame harb's would (and if he did he'd probably get a stiffer penalty than the pats)

makes sense, probowl could be a nice way to show off the nfl to the world... Nice for players (much better vacation) but not for any American fans that are no longer able to go to it

It would be worth a penalty to see Harbs call the Pats ineligible player scheme. But hey, Harbs checking the PSI is doable without penalty. Maybe they should sneak their ball boy over to the opposition sidelines to deflate their footballs, then complain to the refs and have them check the bag of balls. Also, have the kid stamp them "Super Bowl", "property of the Patriots"

Oh, and P.S...I left the gender under my name as "not telling" cuz I didn't think it was relevant. Last time I checked I was female. Maybe I better go double check to make sure I still am because it would be quite relevant to me getting the shock of my life if I no longer am. lol

Odell Beckham has insane hands....

Can you imagine how insane it would be to have Beckham on our offense? Harbs has got to be drooling imagining what heights our offense could reach having such an amazing talent on the Ravens for Joe to throw to. It would be worth being a season ticket holder just to watch him in warm ups, much less the games. Most amazing receiver I have ever seen

Go Harbs. Won 1st ever tablet challenge. Also glad Justin had himself a nice long gain to remember the Pro Bowl by. I think Forsett is a very popular player nationally after being a relative unknown, easy to like and root for so hope he has a chance of getting voted in if he has a follow up good year. Let's hope he can be successful in next year's offense if we can negotiate a reasonable deal

I agree he's one of the best WR's I've ever seen. He's a stud and yes if he was with us I think he would be insanely good.

JJ Swatt is a beast!

JJ and Beckham are both freaks of nature. Also, CJ is doing a nice job out there. Great that this rookie is calling the defense tonight cuz he is familiar with the Ravens defense. It still speaks to his leadership and football IQ. The way CJ is transitioning to the NFL so quickly, he is going to be critical to try hard to find a way to keep him a Raven for his career

Sheeesh. Had that sinking feeling for Harbs team when Dalton went in. I bet Harbs didn't feel like he could pull Dalton. I also bet he wished either of his other QB's would have finished the game instead. Yipes. So glad Joe is our QB instead. Joe would have come through for Harbs team

Why did Harbaugh get stuck with Dalton lmao

I don't think Dalton was drafted by either team. Dalton got assigned to Carter/Harbs team I think. It's the kiss of death to get stuck with Dalton cuz you get stuck having to actually play him.

Well folks...any thoughts on the Pro Bowl? I thought it was entertaining. The ending had me groaning though. It was so apparent when Dalton played QB that it was a joke that Dalton was even there and team Carter got stuck with him. Any normal game and Dalton would have never seen the field. Felt sorry for Harbs on that 1. Could someone please kidnap Beckham and JJ for us?

Hey Harford....I could care less. There's nothing much in my profile  and certainly nothing to be sorry about. I enjoyed your posts, gave me a chuckle
