Instead of 53, it could be 55 players. I posted a link in the "Other Teams Free Agency" thread that said that the Competition Committee is considering expanding NFL rosters to 55 players. That'd be awesome.

More on the Andre Johnson situation. Apparently O'Brien wanted to reduce his role and he would no longer be a starter. From Twitter:

This is going to make those clamoring for a receiver in the first not happy. If the Texans do not find a trade partner for Andre Johnson, he will be released. Meaning the Texans will be another team with a receiver need in the first.

That was one of the first things that hit my mind, I was thinking, "Crap, I can probably forget about Jaelen Strong falling to us - it was a only a slim chance before this." A.J. is going to be cut for sure, because no team is going to make a trade when they know this.

If (a big if), ajohnz take sss money, you are instantly getting a minimum 900yard guy. With sss & ajohnz and young guys in a mix you are set for playoff this year.

Eagles made a great move. They unload an aging RB who costs a lot of money, and they get a young LB who showed a lot of promise in his rookie year. If anything, the Bills are idiots.

Well, Shady is 26, not really old by any means. In his down year he made 1300+ rushing yards. Costs a lot, though.

Statistics show RBs tend to hit the wall at 27. Eagles are gettin' out while the gettin's good. Linebackers usually last a lot longer.

 

And yeah, he's definitely expensive.
