2015 NFL Off Season & Free Agency (Other Teams)

Well, Larry is sticking around in the desert. I don't blame him. He's been on a competitive team. They certainly have a shot.

Or is this is a setup to trade him? No team was going to acquire him at a $23M price tag. With the restructuring he is now trade bait.

Couldn't another team just restructure him as well?

That play by him was so good, the Vikings decided to pick him up. So that he can screw up their.... well guess if he signs there he won't have a playoff game to screw up.

I'm starting to like ProFootballTalk more and more for one reason and one reason only: the comment section. Nothing but pure entertainment there....

One FA is now off the market. The Chargers have signed LT King Dunlap to a 4-year $28M deal.

Mccown is a better QB than anyone they have there now will ever be. And the fact is there are no QBs who can be better than a low end starter available to the browns.

The Word at the combine is they will pursue a possible trade for Sam Bradford, and McCown is the backup option if they can't get Bradford. So it seems the Hoyer era is over and his replacements are a injury prone QB and one who helped Tampa get the number one pick. Again... Browns being the Browns.

Quality QBs don't exactly grow on trees.  Are there any better options?

There is a report that either has been leaked too early or maybe there isn't a deal because Lynch's agent is denying it. It is being said the Seahawks are offering Lynch a 2 year deal that pays him $12M in 2015 and $9M in 2016.

BREAKING: Per CBS Sports, Marshawn Lynch will sign a two year deal that includes $12M in 1st year, $9M in 2nd year.

Jason La Canfora ‏@JasonLaCanfora  9m

Doug Hendrickson, agent for Marshawn Lynch, says "there is no deal done." I continue to hear SEA has offer on table that will result in deal

The Steelers doing what they do best, restructuring to put themselves in cap hell years later. They have restructured OT Marcus Gilbert's contract converting his $3.15M roster bonus and $1.15M of his salary into a signing bonus. This created $3.724M in cap room for the Steelers.

Maybe we can get Larry, then sign Q and get the band back together.  :P

What would you guys think of bringing in James Harrison on a 1 year deal?

Hear me out.

He could play the role that was McPhees at a much cheaper price and in my opinion at the same production level.

In his first game against us he was blitzing from everywhere and he was doing great. I think he could do the same for us.

And he could spell suggs and doom every once in a while.

Harrison seems to only be that player for Pittsburgh. Furthermore, he isn't the same type of player as McPhee, who rushed the passer from the inside and edge.

Awesome news, the Steelers are deciding to stay in cap hell forever! Not only did Gilbert restructure his contract but S Mike Mitchell and Center Maurkice Pouncey is also restructuring their contracts.

Also Broncos and Peyton Manning are talking restructuring of his contract. Due $19M, any cap relief by Peyton may help secure D. Thomas on the Tag.
