Insert thread about signing him in RT in 3 2 1...

Well, he'd have to be claimed and he is a young pass rusher with potential, so, why not give it a shot for six games?

You think someone claims him off waivers? I do agree though, put my thoughts on it in the thread

I don't know, it depends on the cap hit. I could see a team doing it, yes, but I don't know if it's a must make move to get him. He still has tons of untapped potential after how wrongly he was used in New York

Yeah one of those I could go either way on, someone posted the numbers on the cap if claimed in the thread about him in RT

The Raiders have signed WR Michael Crabtree to a contract extension. No exact detail yet, but reports are it is worth around $8 million per season.

Apparently, 4y 35 mil, with 19mil guaranteed.

There goes one FA target some of us might have hoped for.

I know some would disagree, but I would love to pick up Damontre Moore off waivers, I mean he hasn't been great but he's only 23 years old and was a first round talent before he fell in the draft, had 5.5 sacks last year I think he's worth a look in the final few games to see if he can help us next year, assuming he grows up.

First round talent in 2013 draft doesn't say a lot. This is a 3rd year he couldn't get a starting job in a single game, even with JPP missing. I'm not interested.

I'm massively interested, honestly. He's got rare athleticism and length for his position and he'd be a really great fit for the Ravens as a 3-4 OLB. He's a really explosive athlete and one that I do not think has even come close to tapping into his potential.

And consider that he's accounted for 20% of the Giants sacks this season.

Quite honestly, I'm not even worried about him not starting. Cullen Jenkins has been a routine starter for almost every team he's played for and he's been a stalwart on most defensive lines. Opposite him, Ayers might be one of the most underrated players in the NFL. I'm not worried about him not starting.

And as far as him growing up, apparently he was one of the most encouraging and uplifting players for the entire team on game days. He was always positive and talking his guys up. He attended every single charity event for his teammates and never asked for anything in return. I think maturity issues are overblown, but hey, maybe if there are any, getting cut will cause him to wake up.

Trouble with Alex Mack is that he doesn't want to leave and has a "no trade" clause that he isn't going to waive.

I don't think he really likes it there.  The no trade clause could also be so he's not traded somewhere he doesn't want to go.  He's already stuck in one bad situation so why uproot just to be put in another.

Mario Williams is likely playing his last year in Buffalo after not seeing eye to eye with Rex Ryan and the defensive scheme.

If he isn't asking for too much, I'd be pretty happy signing him to help the pass rush. The combination of him, Jernigan, and Doom would be pretty good.

I'd only really feel comfortable if it were a 4-3 and he were pretty much solely being asked to rush the passer

Williams feels the same - the reason for him wanting out is that he doesn't like to play OLB in 34.

Well, he's also asked to shoulder a lot more run stopping duties and it's cutting back on him just pinning his ears and getting to the quarterback.

And for as much as Rex is a defensive guru, he sure broke something that was good when he moved a dominant defensive line and shifted it to a 3-4

I'm just seeing this, but it sucks we didn't claim him off waivers. I think that it's a dumb move, personally. He always had the talent. I think we could've helped him put it together here. Disappointed on this one.
