Montee Ball still on free agency. What are we waiting to sign him a 2 year deal?

Between him, Taliaferro and Buck, Ball all the way long. He should be the future back we're needing right now when Forsett leave.

So Broncos also cut Gino? A month ago he was listed as their starter.

So in a sense they just wasted their fourth round pick on a guy that they cut. Everytime I see other GMs make stupid moves I become more thankful for Ozzie.

It's crazy to me that guys that want more money choose to not play at all.  It shouldn't be able to work that way.  Looking at you, Kam Chancellor.

And wouldn't that be something if his replacement does an adequate job and make him expendable....

Dareus apparently just got paid a 6 year $108 mil deal.

So did Luke Kuechly. 5-Year $62M deal. In which if anyone is interested, it's $2M more than what Bobby Wagner got from Seattle.

Vikings have also extended WR Jarius Wright, it's a 4 year deal with $14.8M in new money.

Wow and that's coming off a suspension too lol

$60M guaranteed, highest ever for a player at a non QB position.

From out of nowhere, the Raiders have signed troubled OLB Aldon Smith to a one year contract. Apparently the Jaguars, Buccaneers and Rams were also interested Smith.

In an update, apparently this deal will make Eli a Giant for life, as in there is a no trade clause written into this new contract.

The Raiders defense could make some noise. Aldon Smith on one side and the Mack Truck on the other? Yikes.

Shocked by the Raiders... I felt the league had some unwritten rule in place that no one sign him. NFL looks even weaker. Also I don't know how he's playing Sunday. Thought he got in trouble again?

Well I love the move for them...Honestly wouldn't have minded us going for him. Moving cross country to a contender would've been great for him, but at least no rivals took him. Hopefully he wises up. Mack & him could be nasty.

You what's funny? Look at who signed him and the teams who were interested in him.

- Buccaneers

- Jaguars

- Raiders(signed him)

- Rams

4 of the leagues consistently bad teams year in, year out. Taking chances on a troubled player is why they are where they are.

On the flip side, Peyton Manning's aging old body does not like this move.

But let's be real here- imagine if the Rams had gotten him and he played OLB for them. How dirty would that front seven be?

I noticed that as well but that's far from the truth as of why those franchises have remained mediocre. The Giants also reportedly had interest and they're among most respected franchises in the league, IMO.

Aldon obviously has a lot of problems...But this is really all about football. I'm part of the minority who thinks he's worth the risk. In the big scheme, what football players do off the field shouldn't mean as much. Don't get me wrong, they should still get fined and suspended, accordingly..Whatever that is.

That was my thought. Aldon Smith, Long, Quinn, and Donald together on the field at one time would be a nightmare. Them checking him out was just wanting their defense to move up to the top in the league.

It goes beyond just them. Laurinitis, Ogletree, and Brockers/Fairley are all quality players, too. It would be...

Ogletree-Laurinitis-Smith

Quinn-Brockers/Fairley-Donald-Long

That's just downright terrifying in every single way.

This might be a first in the history of holdouts. The player, not the team caved in and decided to end his own holdout. That's right, luckily for the 0-2 Seahawks Kam Chancellor has decided to end his own holdout and return to the Seattle Seahawks.

I believe MJD also ended his own holdout.

With a great 3-0 start, the Panthers needed another DE with Charles Johnson hurt. Enter Jared Allen. The Panthers have acquired Jared Allen from the Bears(fire sale anyone?) where he will return to DE after not doing so good as a 3-OLB.

The fire sale in Chicago has begun apparently. Bears trade former 2nd round pick Jon Bostic to Patriots for a 6th round pick. In an update with the Jared Allen trade, the Panthers sent a 6th round pick to Chicago for him.

Bears traded former 2nd-rd pick Jon Bostic to Patriots for 6th-rd pick, pending phsical. Bears get back two 6's for Bostic and Jared Allen.

The only LB I'd take from them is Christian Jones. Bostic is a bust, Allen played out of his natural position but regardless, age and injuries have probably done the number on him.
