Yeah I'd imagine he's not out of a job very long. Safety is a huge need for a lot of teams and ones that can play a capable center field don't come along too often.

Hell. I hope we can sign him. He fits the mold. Cut player who's down and out of his luck/injury prone. I'll take him.

6 years, $81.426M, that's $11.426M more than both Dez and Thomas who each got $70M. Crazy to think they just gave $81M to a player who they traded everything including the kitchen sink and it has mounted to nothing for them.

Speaking of getting paid, whomever is the Redskin's starting QB will appreciate that Trent Williams signed a 5-year $66M contract with more than $43M guaranteed and $32M at signing.

Another example why dimitrof is one of the worst gms in football.

Julio is a stud so he deserves to be paid(if he can stay healthy) but yeah that was a terrible trade

Yeah I think compared to the Dez deal it is a lot, I thought DT got a bit overpaid as well though

Complete shock that the Bills cut Fred Jackson

I don't think he'll be out of work long.  Consummate professional that is best as a backup, but can carry the load if necessary.  Cleveland should have been on the phone immediately.

Well, other than Matt Ryan the Falcons really have no one else to pay, and not a lot of big contracts on the roster ... so I doubt the negotiating process was as difficult as DT and Dez.

Any chance that Ray Rice had of being picked up by a team that needed a RB just took a hit.

Packers would make a great fit

How does that make this a good decision? Pay jones. I get that. But why set an all new market unnecessarily. The fact that they have no other talent worth paying also speaks to my point of Dimitrov being a bad GM.

He got an extra year. Therefore more money total.

Great story. Worked his way from small school to independent league to NFL Europe to Bills, played SpTeams to starting RB. He'll find a job.

More trades to announce!

Seahawks send WR Kevin Norwood to the Panthers for undisclosed draft pick

Broncos send OT Chris Clark to the Texans for a 2016 7th round pick.

So again, teams taking from our GM game by trading a player a couple times. Tim Wright was traded out of Tampa to New England. This year, Tampa trades him... AGAIN to Detroit.

Gave their fifth to Philly for Boykin, and their 6th round pick to Jacksonville for Scobee. Steelers down to five draft picks in 2016, I like it.

And they gave them for mediocre corner and a kicker. Injuries are hell.

T-Rich cut by Raiders, too. Why am I not surprised?

Personally I'm surprised. Surprised that it took this long, but still surprised.

Surprised they gave him guarantee d money. And surprised Cleveland and especially Indy front offices don't take more heat for what they wasted on this guy.

Well I believe that Cleveland regime that drafted him is no longer there so they got fired. Ryan Grigson got lucky to walk right into drafting a franchise QB like Luck so the media will give him a free pass even though his drafts haven't really been any good at putting a team around Luck. For example, see their defense.
