That was more entertaining than last years hard knocks. I think its pretty clear what type of team the redskins are. Glad they suck.

They haven't even given a mega deal to Luck yet, and still are working on a extension with Anthony Castonzo. Oddly enough after Hilton signed his deal, this was tweeted out regarding Antonio Brown.

I'm told the #Steelers are reluctant to re-work Antonio Brown's deal any time soon, as they still have him under contract for three years.

Wow, I can't tell if this is Rex having a "stopped clock is right twice a day" moment or if he's still making poor personnel decisions as a head coach.

Rextaking a jab at the jets. Lol. The whole division is becoming a laughing stock for various reasons.

Seems like Philip Rivers is possibly going to LA after all. Chargers  have announced a 4 year contract extension with Rivers. No details have been announced.

Giants QB Eli Manning is looking to not just being the highest paid QB, but the highest NFL PLAYER. Good luck with that. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000511245/article/eli-manning-wants-to-be-highestpaid-player-in-nfl

Its tempting to say he wont get it, the counterpoint is are the Giants willing or even able to replace him?

I doubt he will get that money anywhere, but .....

Reason 2,567,956 I am glad I am not a GM.

Not sure why everyone's reaction are these QBs won't get this money. I'm not sure where his final numbers will end up, but he's going to get a big contract. And of course these guys are worth it because as you say what's the alternative? There aren't close to enough capable QBs in the league. Any team letting one go would be foolish.

Of course they will, they have no choice. Looking at this from a "what have you done lately" in terms of production on the field. The Giants last made the playoffs in 2011, when they won the Super Bowl. They have missed the playoffs the last three years with 6-10(2014), 7-9(2013) and 9-7(2012) records. They missed the playoffs in 2009 and 2010 before returning in 2011 and winning the Super Bowl. So from that perspective, he hasn't earned it and is no longer living off those Super Bowl titles.

Dating back to 2007, the Giants have missed the playoffs 5 seasons out of a possible 8 seasons. That is 62% of the time they have missed the playoffs. 3 of those seasons in which they made the playoffs, 2 of those they won the Super Bowl. Something tells me this is going to be a make or break year for Eli and possibly Coughlin. Missing the playoffs four straight years isn't going to be taken well in New York.

Expected this to happen. Eli's definitely gonna get top 5 money. He simply has all the leverage.

-Proven 2x winner.

-Plays in NY.

-Face of the franchise.

-Still going to be around for awhile.

Some team in the league would definitely make him the highest paid so he's likely going to get a ton of guaranteed money.

We may not have to give Joe a new contract at this rate. $28M is going to end up being the going rate with these contracts. Or at the very least make it harder for us to give Joe a new contract with $25-$30M a year is where we are heading.

Had the channel on NFL Network and they're showing the Rams vs. Cowboys brawl during their joint practice. Judging by the bits and pieces they showed, you would think they're arch-rivals. Sheesh.

What is up with all of these joint practice fights all of a sudden?

I have no idea, but that was one weird fight.............or should I say multiple fights.

There were multiple fights at Rams - Dallas practice. NFLN has this one:

and Twitter this one:

Apparently Patmon and Dez Bryant, who had the brotherly fight of their own the other day, both got beat. Bryant's diamond earring got lost and was later found by security guard on the field.

The Pats always seem to like picking up old receivers. Though I guess he would fit their dink and dunk offense well enough.

He'll be productive for the Patriots. He's not what he once was but if healthy he's still very good. He'll have a fair shot at a ring with the Patriots. Good luck to him. I've always liked his approach.

Mike Vick is probably going to sign with the Steelers today.

Not sure what I think about this....

Ben is very tough but not necessarily reliable.  Odds are good he will possibly see some time on the field.  I am not sure how that will pan out though.
