They have plenty of room, spotrac has their estimated available cap space at $26M.

Which source is more reliable: Spotrac or Over the Cap?

It is now being reported the Lions may be able to keep star DT Ndamukong Suh after all. An ESPN article on this matter says geting a deal done with Suh is priority even if it means losing star WR Calvin Johnson. Of course, Johnson came out and said he would do anything(aka willing to restructure) to make sure Suh stays in Detroit.

"I think there's a very, very good chance that we can get something done with him in the next few weeks," team president Tom Lewand told WDIV's Flashpoint Sunday, via the Oakland Press. "I really do believe he's got a lot invested in himself and the community, and in himself and the football team. He wants to have success in the NFL obviously but he wants to do that with us."

Don't know if we have a thread for retirements but figured I would just throw this here

Chargers center Nick Hardwick is retiring after 11 NFL seasons

It's truly amazing how much weight Offensive Lineman have to put on to play their position. Jordan Gross lost a lot of weight after he retired, Chris Snee did the same. You can barely recognize Hardwick in his retirement press conference.

Titans S Bernard Pollard has requested his release from the team. He informed GM Ruston Weber of this at the end of the season. Citing his willingness to win and that he isn't getting any younger. Pollard also took to Twitter to question the team's decision to part ways with VP of Personnel Lake Dawson.

Your team-cancer is showing, Bernard.

The Tennessee Titans have released OT Michael Oher, saving $2 million in cap space.

Took me awhile to realise this wasn't the forum mock offseason.

@RavensInsider: Michael Oher deal, $3.35 million of his $4 million base salary would have been fully guaranteed if he'd remained on the roster as of Friday

Pats should sign him and IR him.

Was coming to say this.  Damn.  Good luck Michael.  He always came to work and did what was asked, to what seemed the best of his ability.  Never complained and put together solid enough play to help us win a ring, so can't knock him.

Michale will be on a team next season.

He never set the world on fire, but he really didnt suck either.

He is a decent guy.  I am glad he got a ring with us.

Hope Oher finds a new home somewhere.... What a stupid contract from Tennessee to begin with though.

What kind of comp pick do yall expect the Ravens to get from him?

I think both are reliable, but I think Over the Cap does a better job of presenting the information.

One year later released, crazy.

It's amazing how teams keep over paying our players and giving us compensatory picks to help replace those guys. I don't know which player was lost to gain an extra fifth in 2013 but the compensatory fifth was used........ on Wagner. In the same draft, a compensatory 4th gave us Juice, another starter for us. Oh and guess who we got in 2011 as a compensatory pick that will give us a comp pick in 2016 when he gets overpaid this year.... McPhee.

Oher got cut one year into a four year deal from a sucky team, and he doesn't suck?

How do people feel about CB Sean Smith?  The Chiefs appear to be about 10M over the projected cap right now and they still need to resign Houston.   Cutting Smith saves them $5.5M with dead money of only about $2.5M

We need CBs and we know Ozzie goes after released players quicker than unrestricted free agents.  Not sure where Smith ranks among CBs but I've always been a fan of him

He's a big CB but I don't think he spectacular. He would be an improvement over anybody not named jimmy smith.

I agree and was thinking this.  At 6'2, 217 (I think), he has good size to him.  And it's not like he wouldn't immediately become our 2nd or 3rd best CB.  The main reason though is that he should come relatively cheap as the Chiefs got him for 5.3M a year average.  We could get him for that or a little less

Bills have signed Incognito. Guess Rex is serious about turning them into bullies.

not surprising. I think it's a good move. No doubt Rex will have control of the locker room instead of the non existent leadership in Miami.

I was thinking the same thing. Could be an interesting signing.

Interesting to see how this turns out because Rex Ryan locker rooms have had been a cesspool of 'anonymous sources' and one side vs the other. See: New York Jets.

Still think the Incognito/Martin controversy was way overblown. The text messages made it clear that Martin considered Incognito a friend, not a bully.
