Willis and Justin Smith set to retire

Justin Smith says his retirement is not 100% set. Don't know what his contract is but I'm pretty sure the 49ers would have his rights and would have to release him say he was using the retirement as a way to get out of San Fran and play for someone else.

You know, I think Justin would be a very nice and cheaper alternative if Ngata indeed wants to still get paid his $16M.

The NFC West is making some moves. The Rams have cut two offensive lineman, both FA busts. Jake Long has been cut saving them $8M, and Center Scott Wells has been cut saving $3.75M. Next we head to Seattle where they have signed CB Will Blackmon.

The more bigger news, the Cardinals have signed 49ers LG Mike Iupati. Wow, great coup by Arizona improving their o-line once again this year.

Awfully expensive for a 30+ year old RB, but good for Frank if true...

Source indicates the #49ers are bracing to lose Frank Gore. Has an offer on the table from the #Eagles averaging $5M+, $7M in guarantees.

Not so fast. With nothing official until tomorrow, Frank Gore is reconsidering signing with the Eagles.

One bad thing about Andre being released is I wouldn't be surprised seeing Houston target a WR round 1 if they like their options.

That is a huge move for the cardinals. Their interior Oline was a huge liability. Now instantly a strength. Center still a huge concern for them.

Yeah guess that's what happens when a team player like Fitzgerald restructures, saves $12M and allows you to upgrade your team with more cap space to work with.

*Looking at you Ngata*

Brian Hartline is heading home to Cleveland on a two year deal.

So Ray Farmer's plan to upgrade at WR is Brian Hartline and Miles Austin. With Johnny Football at QB, unbelievable.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/03/09/hartline-heads-home-to-the-browns/

The disturbing thing is that with our secondary, the Steelers secondary and where the Bengals secondary is trending that group could be more efficient than we expect.

The Jets have tendered NT Damon Harrison a second round tender. A very good NT for the Jets since he has started and is only 26. If I'm a playoff team who needs a NT, giving up a late second for him wouldn't be a bad idea. Or maybe a team considering Danny Shelton in the top 10 can give up a second for Harrison and go elsewhere in the first.

Brian Hartline apparently has a IQ of 0. He turned down offers from Houston, Chicago and the Super Bowl Champion Patriots. Now I get Chicago and Houston, but the deal he signed with Cleveland wasn't much. It wasn't like he signed a 2 year $14M contract or some over paid contract to sign with Cleveland.

He signed a 2 year $6M deal to catch passes from Manziel and turned down the opportunity to catch passes from Tom Brady? He's an idiot and apparently has no football IQ, because if he did he would have signed with the Patriots.

He must have been brainwashed by the Browns just like Joe Haden: dreaming and hoping that they would be legitimate contenders.

I've read this a few times and I was stuck on turned down until I found out he's from Cleveland but still. Did he give them the hometown discount?

I was a fan of the Jaguars FA moves up until they decided to pay LB Dan Skuta $20.5M over five years. That's a lot of money for a player with only 22 career starts.

I really hope the rumors about the Browns' interest in Revis are not true.

They are true.  Wanted him last year as well.  Revis played under Pettine in NY.

I'm crushed by news that Patrick Willis has officially retired. I was hoping that it was a rumor though I expected it to be true. He's been one of my favorite players ever since he was drafted. Perhaps he'll consider returning one day, though that sounds very unlikely.

Wonder if FA will break twitter again this year

I think it's going to be relatively up eventful with most of the deals announced. They will just become official. I wonder if one of these deals in principal get blown up by another team though b

Unconfirmed reports starting - Andre Johnson to Colts.

Frank Gore indeed changed his mind about Philly, Gore is also heading to Indy.

Ian Rapaport is on NFL Network right now announcing that Jimmy Graham has been traded to the Seahawks.

List of things I never saw coming and still kinda won't believe until I see despite being from a pretty good source.
