2015 NFL Off Season & Free Agency (Other Teams)

That actually is what I thought we would end up giving Forsett.

I'm surprised by this signing. The RB class is deep and Ingram is easily replaceable for the Saints. They are picking high enough to take Gurley or Gordon, so this move baffles me.

Not surprised at all. It's a very affordable deal for a young running back with little wear and tear.

Torrey is getting PAID if Cobb is getting a $10 mill/year contract. Someone is going to pay Torrey like $13mill/year contract.

Why would you say that? Yeah maybe a team gets desperate with less options but Smith wouldn't be in a tier above Cobb.

I think the biggest issue with the Saints/Ingram deal is that they're still significantly over the cap and they just keep making it rain.

I was thinking Indy would sign him considering their o-line issues. Now they just need to take a guard with their first round pick to have someone for 10+ years and their o-line should be better.

Yeah they have 2 Tackles who are decent, that interior could use the makeover. A Center could do them some good as well

Suh gets $14 million more than Watt and about $8 million more guaranteed.  The power of the free agent market.

The problem with the Colts line is that they are all decent.  Not good enough, but not bad enough to justify a whole makeover.

Julius Thomas to the Jaguars is being reported as essentially done.  Would be huge for Bortles.

The AFCEast is improving. Gonna be a tight race.

Guess it took them this long of being sick and tired of being 6 easy victories for the Patriots every year. Hopefully one of those teams finally knock the Patriots off their AFC East Perch.

Very solid D-line now.

#Dolphins' new front four on D-line: DE Cam Wake, DT Ndamukong Suh, DT Earl Mitchell and DE Olivier Vernon. That's a VERY formidable group.

I love Suh's game, but that's too much money on one player that's not a QB. There's a bevy of Pro Bowl players you can designate that cap towards.

you male it sound like he's better than cobb. He isn't...

Sure Cobb is better than Torrey but it's simply supply and demand in a small WR market. Teams will also consider Torrey's durability and playoff experience and the expanded cap space. Cobb isn't a WR1, he's like Eric Decker with Peyton Manning throwing the ball to him. There's a reason why he stayed in GB and he was smart to do so. Cobb also took less money to stay in GB and probably would have gotten a $15+ mill. contract if he hit the free market and left GB.

Lol and people thought we could get Maxwell

I think it was a reasonable chance but we didn't realize he wanted to get drastically overpaid. So I'm assuming based on the Suh and now Maxwell contracts, both Seattle and Detroit will be guaranteed third round comp pick in 2016.

If the money were reasonable he would have just gone back to Seattle more likely than not.

It was never reasonable, to be honest.  It's been forgone that Maxwell was going to be the top earner on the market at CB.

Are they improved? Idk Dline was already their biggest strength and now you dedicate even more resources to just one guy. The Dolphins are not "1" player away. I don't believe any teams are in reality. Just seems Ill advised to me.

Eagles just landed Byron Maxwell for $53M on a five year deal with $25M guaranteed. Eagles looking to add Patriots S Devin McCourty next as they repair their secondary in FA.

I like the eagles moves so far to be honest. McCourty the one high level free agent id like to see baltimore move on. Because the college game is not producing NFL safeties or QBs anymore.

Awfully expensive for a 30+ year old RB, but good for Frank if true...

Source indicates the #49ers are bracing to lose Frank Gore. Has an offer on the table from the #Eagles averaging $5M+, $7M in guarantees.

Ok I'm not going to knock the Saints deal with Ingram too much, that's a fairly good deal. But the contracts McCoy got from Buffalo and what Gore COULD get  from Philly, do they not know how good the RBs in this draft are?

CB market looks rough...

Mike Garafolo@MikeGarafolo 6m6 minutes ago

Next CB who could surprise with his payday is Buster Skrine. Have already been told by teams they bowed out b/c price got too rich.

Overall shortage in the league for s pretty important position. The guys who know how to play it are in for a nice payday.
