barring an incredible homerun in the draft..

The sky is not falling brother. We have gone through all this before. Our F.O. is not incompetent and we have a very good nucleolus of players. We will be OK, I promise.

Is it too early to tank?

Never too early! Now's the time to fire Ozzie and start over.

We don't need to fire Ozzie...

We just need a better postseason QB. This Flacco guy can't play a lick in January...

Might as well get new LBs too... Mosley can't play worth a damn

Ehh, he's cheap right now, so we can keep him around.

But we should definitely bring in stiff competition for his roster spot...

But we totally need to keep Matt Elam. Total cornerstone.

Well he isn't getting any younger

Yeah. Even Dick Lebau thinks he's old. So first round MLB again! Our franchise is over.

Rex Ryan should have been hired as the coach back in 2008. Time to make this right: see you guys in Buffalo.

Yeah. That GM did it right. They traded their future for a star WR. They might not have a QB. But EJ Manuel > 300000 old Joe Flukeo.

Man, do you have some reading to do on these boards....

The 2013 season was a dark year.

I have years worth of reading to do.. Let me get a beer. It's 5 somewhere

We are doomed.

season is over. We should tank the rest of the season for a good pick.

Or something like that.

I don't see us being a good team next year.

Our pass rush WILL take a hit with the departures of Mcphee and the age of doom and sizzle

Our offense will take a big hit without Kubiak and the guys mentioned that are available are going to set us back

Steve smith won't be the same

We have no reliable all-round tight end ( gilmore just isn't a receiving threat)

torrey is torrey …he's still useful but don't think we should keep him

We haven't got the capspace to have a difference maker to overcome these things…I'm sorry but cecil shorts is a joke and if thats what we are going into next year( like some of you are recommending) then you aren't serious.

The positives?

Our secondary should be better

Our O line should be steady.

thats about it.

unless ozzie hits a home run in the draft and i MEAN a home run. Not just a couple of good players but a superstar in the making thats already an elite talent ( e.g. ODB)

Really? I think the complete opposite. I think we are just a few pieces away from being an elite team.

I think Ozzie will do whatever he can to keep oir offensive resurgance going next year by hiring an OC who will instill a similar offense or build on what we established last year. Our offensive line is solid, and our running game is solid too, so that will be easy to build on and maybe improve on.

On defense with a healthy Jimmy Smith Lardarius Webb and possible off season addition of a veteran/ rookie CB our defense will be much better. Our d-line has the talent and youth on it with Timmy Jernigan Brandon Williams Upshaw and Deangelo Tyson that we should be able to build on a potential Ngata or Mcphee departures. Our d-line should remain stout if not more stout next year. And our passrush will always be there, the combo of Suggs, Doom and Mosley/Daryl and that beast d-line coming at you is no cause for worry.

If we can add solid CB depth behind Jimmy and Webb, add an offensive weapon or 2 and a few good defensive pickups, I'd say we will be a favorite to win the AFC behind NE, and Denver.

The arrow is definitely pointing way up for the 2015 Ravens.

We made it to the second round of the playoffs and had a great shot at the AFCCG without Pitta and 90 percent of our secondary, it seems like.  I think if we get the right guy to fill in for Gary Kubiak, plus some good drafting to beef up the receiving corps and secondary, we'll be a better team next year than we were this year.

Again, at least six months too early, and probably really about 8-9 months too early.

If Joe Flacco tears his ACL, then we can make these statements.

Short of that, too many unknowns.

Which is really why they need to address the backup qb position!

1. Flacco has never missed a game so we have little to worry about like injury history

2. If Joey Gunslinger goes down the season is over anyways.

We need 1 starting WR and one starting TE, and could use a FS.

Sign Rob Housler or Charles Clay for TE, and Eddie Royal or Brian Hartline for WR.

Draft a WR and a TE, and maybe a FS if there are any decent candidates.

Also draft a CB because you can never have too many of those.

And done.

Just need to replace our offensive coaches who leave with guys who aren't going to all be on different pages like they were in 2013.

??? Wait. Fans ACTUALLY clamored for Tyrod?

Duuuuuude lol, count yourself lucky you missed it.

On the Ravens topic, the team will be a solid team again, but I can see a bit of the OPs point, even if I think its an exaggeration.  Who we hire at OC might just be the most critical part of the offseason, besides whether Jimmy Smith can come back at his previous level.  Jernigan getting more time next season will offset some of the McPhee departure, though McPhee's being able to lineup anywhere on the line obviously hurts.

Honestly we have no idea what the roster will look like, which is the biggest reason why this thread is so laughable.

I want the hilarity lol

Don't worry... when Joe has another bad game, they will be back.

Doesn't matter if Tyrod is on the team or working at a McDonalds... when Joe has a bad game, Tyrod is better.

When that happens they'll want Ken Wilbur to start.
