Henry Melton is a Free Agent

Spotrac has him on the roster...I thought the Cowboys had the option of taking one more year on his contract or declining...can anyone confirm?

They also have Suh listed on the Lions roster in 2015 and everyone knows he is a free agent.

This is what Rotoworld posted on Jan 20th:

The Cowboys are expected to decline DT Henry Melton's three-year team option, making him a free agent.

Melton would receive a three-year, $24 million deal were he to remain on the Cowboys' roster for the first day of the new league year, but he's fully expected to be sent to the open market. It's possible he'll end up back in Big D on a revamped deal after notching five sacks in just 433 snaps this season. Melton will be two years removed from tearing his ACL next fall. Jan 20 -

Team options the team owner has to decide on. Suh is an fa unless he's getting tagged, which he won't because the tag number is insane.

Thanks so I am able to trade him with that option in mind...or let him go...or keep him

I'm getting a lot of requests, so I'll make it easy:

I'm not trading, under any circumstances regardless of how good the offer is, any of these players: Flacco, Monroe, KO, Zuttah, Yanda, Wagner, Gillmore, Taliaferro, Juszczyk, Brent Urban, Brandon Williams, Tim Jernigan, Suggs, Dumervil, Upshaw, Elam, Brooks, Jimmy Smith, Mosley

Players I'm very unlikely to trade unless I really like the offer are: Pitta, Marlon Brown, Michael Campanaro, Urschel, Lewis-Moore, Tyson, Arthur Brown, Melvin, Jackson

It's just to make things easier. Not trying to be a jerk, but sometimes it's easier to say who's not available than who is.

I'm doing a little co-GM work with Grim, so to lighten the poor guy's load I can listen to offers. Obviously I won't be pulling the trigger on things as it's still his side, but I can listen and negotiate a little.

Amen to that. I had to find a contigency plan for Cobb because I know I can't retain him in FA.. Fortunately it's a good one

Why trade for Stevie Johnson when you can get Marques Colston?

Because a bag of chips would likely suffice for Stevie.
