The Forum Mock is back for another season. State your name below if you would like to participate in the game.

Don't know what this is? Everyone takes over a NFL and becomes their GM for an offseason. We do trades, free agency and the draft. If you want to view previous versions, just go a page or so back in Fantasy Talk.

There is a substantial time commitment here so don't signup if you don't think you have the time. I'm not trying to scare you away, just want you to know.

This isn't a thread where you are choosing a team, that comes later. This is just stating that you will participate in the game.

Accompanying this thread will be a discussion thread (titled announcement thread) and a rules thread. Please read the rules thread. It will give you a much better idea of what is going on.

*NOTE* Even if all 32 spots are full, you may still signup. This puts you as a replacement player in the event somebody drops out, which has happened at least once each season.

dont mean to intrude, but you've 138 posts in like 6 years. This whole thing takes months. It will start in February and be finished just in time for the draft. Will you be around often enough to partake fully? If one person doesn't disapperas regularly it messes the whole thing up

I just moved to San Jose and have no  ravens fans to talk to. I'll be on since this board seems to be an overwhelming cesspool of negativity. Count me in. Someone needs to be a ray of sunshine haha. 

 

I won't be in totality available on most weekdays(I have today off), but I will check in every so often.

You would need to be pretty active, especially around draft time. It's a long time commitment and it would like require you to check in a few times daily. Just want to give fair warning. Need to make sure new participants are aware of the extent of the game.

Sounds good.  If you'll be around, we're more than happy to have you join.  Just need to make sure all the new guys have a clear understanding of how long it takes.  When people drop out or disappear, it really puts a damper on the game, so we're really making an effort this year to find people that are committed.

That's especially where we need people to be active.  If you're not around to make trades/sign free agents, that only hurts you and your team, not us.  Once the draft portion of the game rolls around, delays affect everyone else who is stuck waiting.

Just checking in from my phone to see if this place has lost it since Kyle is gone too and see this thread.

I'm in like always, been researching teams since December. I'm assuming we'll pick teams by having everyone pick random numbers and then those are randomized in a list and that's the order we all pick teams by?

I could be keen, but I can't guarantee I'll have the time for it - especially in getting familiar with the team I'm given, watching draft tape, identifying FA/trade targets and executing moves in a timely fashion.

 

If you guys are at 31 players and need to get kick-started, drop me a line. Otherwise, I'll probably have to be that chump who sits on the sidelines and moans about everyone's pick.
