Even the Patriots fans on their forum have thrown in the towel and admitted that something fishy happened.

I LOVE IT!

Some dude at our Frisbee practice today was talking about how good his Patriots are. Everybody instantly said Spygate and this. So great.

This is the last page of their ongoing thread:

Talk about the 11/12 balls being under inflated by 2lbs each starts on page 89.  There's a dramatic turn from "why does everyone think we're cheaters" to "why are we always trying to cheat".

My apologies, though you can understand my disbelief at the thought of Patriots fans admitting Belicheat may have done something wrong. :D

I love their collective persecution complex though.

That would be a little more controversial because our game was decided by one score.

But more than anything it's one more black mark on their dynasty. I hope Bill Simmons gets stuck into them for being a filthy organisation like he's done with the Ravens this past season (what are the chances).

This is turning into something better than I ever could have imagined.

According to a source, the league is "disappointed...angry...distraught" over this situation that the Patriots have placed them in.

One guy's complaining about how the timing of these allegations messes with them and their Super Bowl preparations. Sounds like us with the Ray Rice stuff.

Maybe the league calls the Ravens and tells them that they're going to Arizona instead. Man, that would be great. Kubiak quickly comes back, wins a Super Bowl, and we beat the Seahawks. Yeah, I'll wake up.

They're playing tricks on us. They could use every word synonymous with "angry" and "disappointed," but I don't believe they'll do much.

Even if the Pats win the Super Bowl, they've tainted their brand for years once again.

Finally they had a chance to win a Super Bowl post-Spygate, and they've gone and gotten themselves into even more trouble.  Its hilarious.  The NFL can do whatever they want, I don't care.  If these reports are true this is good enough for me.

Patriots fans are talking about how perhaps their team used hot air to inflate the balls prior to being given to the referees for inspection.  According to their math, balls inflated to 13 PSI with 112 degree air would then drop to about 11 PSI at the game time temperature.

Pats fans are literally using that as an excuse to say how they didn't break the rules.

LOLWUT.  This is how low they go.  They think that its acceptable to inflate their balls with hot air in order to hide the fact that their balls are going to be under inflated from the refs.

Whelp guys, 11 of the 12 game balls used by the Patriots were indeed underinflated. I wonder what the punishment will be? Cheating to win, should be a forefit

"I highly doubt the league can actually prove that he is culpable. I'd have the organization push the blame onto someone else to save face, and keep Bill abroad."

Good stuff.

The other one goes little further, speculating "there is no way they'll have ..... wait for it ........ level playing field in SB with refs that will definitely be biased because of this.

So they think that blowing up the balls with whatever is in their heads will make a difference in this Eh?

Perhaps the Pats should just start inflating their balls with helium...they'll meet the 12.5 PSI criteria no problem.  We'll just ignore about the weight portion...

I actually want them to go to the Super Bowl now...and WIN.  This scandal is too delicious to not send the Pats and seal their reputation as the biggest frauds in NFL history.  Mwahahaha.

I remember an episode of Mythbusters where they did that. Pretty much anywhere would be in Tucker's range if they did that. :P

You're actually starting to convince me here. Although longer-term I'd imagine their legacy would be closer to the old Boston Celtics. They'd go down as one of the greatest because they had one of the greatest - despite the shenanigans they pulled along the way.

Man, there's just something rotten about that city. They deserve to host the Olympics.

Shouldn't surprise anyone coming from them...

I really hope they lose a draft pick. They're repeat offenders, and Goodell needs to flex that muscle like he's been doing with other teams....he'll probably break the news, pillow talk, beside Kraft tonight....end up sleeping on the couch for awhile.
