Belicheat should be thrown out of the league, if NFL finds out this is true. Patriots will lose this Super Bowl. It's called Karma for Cheating to win 3. Now He will lose 3! Lol

If this is true, that means that at least a few of the footballs used by the Patriots were in fact tampered. If that is the case, you're possibly looking at a few less touchdowns, perhaps a few more field goals, or perhaps a much lower scoring game. Would the Colts have won? No. I believed that whoever won between Ravens-Patriots would advance to the Superbowl, and I stand by my statement that had we won, we woulda beaten the Colts too.

The fact remains however, the Patriot legacy continues to be marred. If I were Kraft - and this were proven true - I'd fire Evil Little Bill.

Be interested to see what happens here, but what did Bount run for? 150 yards and 3 td's? Probably wouldn't have made much of a difference, Colts laid a big egg in the Championship game. What stings the most is that we could have been there.

I think the Pats would have won anyway.

True, but I think Nixon would have still beaten McGovern, even if the Committee to Re-elect the President (aka goon squad) didn't break into the DNC to gather information to get an edge.

A real move if found guilty, strip the Pats of the title game, send Indy to AZ, take draft picks and suspend Bill for a season, maybe that'll serve as an example of what happens when you blatantly cheat to win

We all know the Patriots would have still won. However, if this is true, thats another asterisk on Tom's, Bill's, and the Patriots' legacy.

Sorry but this deflated ball investigation is bogus and you all know I'm not a Patriots or Colts fan. Guess they had deflated balls every time their D allowed Brady and co to score over 40 points a game. You don't score over 40 points a game in all 4 games and say it was deflated balls.

Let's just face facts, Irsay is going to back to the reason Manning has only 1 ring. Refusal to put decent talent around him to win multiple Super Bowls and Luck is not going to outscore Brady in any scenario when the D gives up over 40 points a game, and almost 60 at one point. It's not deflated balls, it's a deflated Colts Defense.

The Patriots have been caught doing a lot of stuff like this, and nobody has ever done anything (other than fines, but these guys are millionaires!). For example, does anyone else remember that scandal where the Patriots were spying on other teams practicing, and the one where they were recording defensive signals from the Jets? They're complete cheats.

Who's to say weather or not they've been doing this ball deflation thing every game? Sure, it wouldn't have made a difference in the Colts game, but over the course of the whole season, this could have had a profound impact. They could've done it during the playoff game against the Ravens, too (although we'll never know for sure).

Nobody checks these things because the NFL assumes that teams have the decency to follow simple rules and guidlines. Clearly, they were wrong.

Personally, I believe these alligations are true (and not just because I hate the Patriots). This isn't something that someone just comes up with on the whim. Given the Patriots' history with cheating, I doubt that this is made up. Tom Brady and Bill Belicheat reacted in the exact same way to scandles that were proven to have been true. The real question is, is there sufficient evidence for these alligations, and will the NFL do anything about it?

If they end up going to the Super Bowl, I'm going to call it "The Cheater Bowl". The Seahawks will win anyways.

If this was a case against the Ravens, okay I'd be pretty skeptical, but gosh, Colts got punished and always get punished by New England nowadays.

And therein, as the bard would say, lies the rub.

It wouldn't have changed anything (like, at all), but this side isn't doing a lot to change their image of being devious/cheats/rule benders/whatever.

I mean, the commish is down to dole out some very harsh punishments. I believe that it's completely warranted to strip the title away. Regardless of how badly they got ran on, the Colts deserved a 100% fair game and anything less than that 100 means they cheated their way to victory.

I dont know why everyone likes to bring up, "They still would have won." or "I guess they deflated it in all the colts games." That doesnt matter! As I previously stated, we all know the Patriots would have won anyway, it is a matter of principle.

This shouldnt even be an issue. With the games you provided, you'd think they'd be feeling pretty good about playing the Colts without doing this.

Ill finish with, this isnt even that big of a deal.I think the max fine for this is $25,000? Yeah, we all know the Patriots do cheap things to gain small advantages. Maybe, all teams do it, maybe not. That is speculation, but fact is, the Patriots have been caught multiple times and it's getting old. FAST.

What else is new with the Patriots? Not the first nor will it be the last they have done something like this. Remember Spygate?

Do I remember when the ratings-hungry media created a buzzword for the masses to start mindlessly parroting?

I do.

Do you remember when two time Superbowl champion, Jimmy Johnson, admitted he did the same thing during his Cowboy runs, which he said he picked up from every other NFL team he worked for?

I do too.

Do you remember when all the geniuses who call the Patriots "cheaters" also put an asterisks next to Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irving?

Me neither.

It will be interesting to see what comes of this. I don't know if it's true or not. I'll wait to see what the NFL says. But if it's true, what does Goodell do? They sent a message with Sean Payton and the Saints ..... how do you not send a message in this case? Especially if it's true and you're talking Championship Game.

A Colts linebacker who intercepted Brady was the one to alert the Colts about the deflated balls:

http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/2015/01/report_patriots_may_have_deflated_footballs_for_af.html

My question right now is if a linebacker can tell that a ball is deflated, why was Tom Brady not "aware" and why didn't he alert someone?  A QB would instantly feel that a ball was deflated...why did he not do anything about it?  How can Belichick say that he was first made aware of the situation on Monday morning?  You'd think that would be something Brady would mention to him if the situation truly were accidental.
