bye bye kubiak - the new OC thread

87 posts in this topic

its all but official now, kubiak went back on his word, and rolled out just days after telling us all that he was staying to "build something special". You had a brilliant season and a bright future with us, and decided to leave to a team that has a very bleak future, dont let the door hit ya on the way out, we dont like liars and deceivers on our team(i understand we all may feel differently on this subject, but this is personally how i feel, just be a man of your word and not a liar)

vent over. now, who would you guys like for OC?

Brian Pariani, unless he desperately wants to be a perennial TE coach.

Give him an opportunity to prove himself and, more importantly, keep that WCO kind of system going.

I would give Juan Castillo the job, honestly. Promote from within.

No leave him to what he does best. Our o line was greatly improved this season and should only get better

Maybe Gase?

May as well see if Peyton will take an OC job if we go down that route. :P

Maybe Gase?

Not after what happened last week. We don't even have that much talent on offense and they struggled moving the ball. Pats ran all over the Colts you'd think the Broncos would be successful

Its time to innovate. Im tired of boring cookie cutter conservative OCs.

Lets get someone who can keep our zone-blocking fantastic, Use Joe to his strengths , isnt scared of the Dragon Pass, and knows how to use TEs and Fullbacks in the open field.

Since Kyle is gone, let's look at the pro-style offenses in the college ranks. Maybe someone from Pitt, Iowa, Wisconsin, or Stanford. Hell, it'd be great to get a USC playcaller. Everything they do is built around the west coast style of offense.

If we go back to a conservative offense now, we are in trouble. Let Joe determine our direction, he is not a rookie. Why not get a guy who can use Joes strengths to his true potential, not try and make Joe fit his system. Can we OUT PAY or OUT BID the Broncs for Dennison and Keep him here?

id honestly like lane kiffin, bama is as pro style as it gets, and he brought a damned good zone scheme with him and immediately revamped a power-man based run game. im not sure about his passing and qb philosophies though, isnt he more air coryell style than west coast?

The gift and the curse. The Ravens are such a top flight outfit any OC or DC (pees excluded) touch. Become highly sought after.

Who then? I mean Trestman really struggled this year, anyone else? Gase is probably the best guy out there right now and it isn't his fault Peyton played awful the last few games.

Thomas Hammock was someone I said could be the new OC last year

If nothing else he is a coward. A liar is half a compliment. I can't wait to see Payton's broken down self running a bootleg or better yet anybody on that pathetic team showing an iota of the heart the ravens always do. Good luck OC, you were given life after 8 years of doing nothing of significance with the texans, and now move on to a crippled team enjoy!!!!!

I think Kubiak owes all of Ravens Nation an apology. He was wrong to have stated he was staying regardless of any justification for changing his mind.  It doesn't matter which side of the fence individual fans were on, including those ok with Gary leaving or those who felt betrayed .  Bottom line, all fans have a right to be disappointed and the Ravens and their fans are due an apology.

I am curious if we could get Mariuchi from NFL network he knows the west-coast system and has been away from coaching for some time.
