Steelers or Patriots

Pats fans are really nasty to the Ravens because 1) they fear us and 2) they're desperate for a rival. The average Ravens fan only cares about the Patriots when we have to play them. The Steelers will always be our top rival.

 

Why would the Patriots fear the Ravens? Desperate for a rival...it's the first games circled every year by teams that have them scheduled.

I hate when ravens fans say they admire and respect the steelers or that our teams are like mirror images of each other or whatever other rhetoric talking heads usually say.They have a plethora of talented young wide outs and we don't.We have a plethora of talented pass rushers and they have nothing there.They have a dink and dunk offense and before this year we had more of a down field passing attack.Their QB(I wanted to bring up some other issues to describe this guy but I'll play nice since the mods and admins want to make this a family friendly forum) can't read and dissect defenses so he runs around in circles for 5 -8 seconds every play waiting for coverage to break down and our QB is ELITE.We're nothing like them.And if you read some of the things they say on their forums you'd find out they have ZERO respect or admiration for Harbaugh,Suggs,Flacco or our organization so that infatuation with the enemy thing is a one way street.

I agree wholeheartedly. My hate for the Steelers will Long outlast Bradys run with the patriots. I am hoping with every fiber of my being that anybody but the patriots win the Super Bowl. Brady's time is ticking in this league and I I suspect that the patriots will go on sucking for a while after that. To me, it doesn't matter how good or how bad the Steelers are in any given season, I'm going to hate them.

Who do you dislike more? My blood boils listening to Steelers fans but honestly it's mostly just the fans that annoy me... it's always a hard fought match up and extremely physical... I respect the steelers organization .. hate em' but respect em'... but boy o boy bradys whining face after he got hit this last game did it for me... not only do Pats fans feel entitled so do the players... for this week only.... Go Colts!

My friend from Idaho, who is a Raiders fan, says the "Sea Chickens"  (his term) fans are the most arrogant and obnoxious in the league.  I would say it's Patriots fans.  Therefore, he's rooting for the Pats, while I'll pull for the Seahawks.  LOL

This is a "now" kind of question, and a lot of you are voting based heavily on recent events.  Think big picture.  I hate both teams, but I hate the steelers the most!  That being said, the new motto goes:

"I hate the steelers but I respect them."

"I hate the Patriots and I DON'T respect them."

Both teams make my blood boil and get me in a frenzy when we play them........the Steelers will always bring that out of me whereas the Pats will eventually go away, likely in the next few years or so.

Seems like people are living in the now. Right now.....we just beat the Steelers and lost a tough game to the Patriots. If this season happened last year and last season happened this year, with Tomlin pulling that crap stepping onto the field, people would be leaning toward hating the Steelers more. This stuff shifts from year to year. When Brady and Belichick retire and that team starts struggling, everyone is going to go back to hating on the Steelers more because they are the rival we play twice a year. Most of us older Baltimore fans hate the Colts more than both those teams. Well at least I do. As far as the fans of the Pats and the Steelers, I am friends with a Pats fan on this site and a Steelers fan on this site, I don't hate on people because they support their home town team. I try to give all people a fair shake. My wife is from Pittsburgh and I go with her to visit my in-laws a week at Christmas and a week in the summer. I wear my Ravens jersey all the time and I never had a problem there. I tease my in-laws all the time and they tease me but we keep ours jabs above the belt.

lol. from an organizational standpoint we're Pittsburgh's more handsome younger brother and we're the kid from the other side of the tracks with a heart of gold that ultimately ends up with the girl the patriots were dating at the beginning of the story.

the steelers rivalry is like siblings...it's forever. the patriots rivalry is couched in fear. mainly their fear that the end of their reign is nigh, and we will be the ones to nail the coffin.

If it's a team I want us to beat more than other, it's the steelers.

If it's a team I want to see lose, to anyone, it's the pats.

Being on the less snowy side of the pond, there is always the problem that if an idiot wants to pick a team to follow, they invariably pick New England, because their team name has the word England in it and they think it's somehow a British team. Meaning, if you have the misfortune of talking to a pats fan you can guarantee they that they will be a know-nothing blowhard who doesn't have a clue about the rules and that the sun shines out of Brady and Bellicheat's (not sure what counts as swearing, so i will go with..) "Innocence"

Come to the think of it the pats fans in the uk are pretty similar to the home-grown variety!

I don't want to BE the Steelers..... I want to BEAT the steelers every single time we play
