Steelers or Patriots

Who do you dislike more? My blood boils listening to Steelers fans but honestly it's mostly just the fans that annoy me... it's always a hard fought match up and extremely physical... I respect the steelers organization .. hate em' but respect em'... but boy o boy bradys whining face after he got hit this last game did it for me... not only do Pats fans feel entitled so do the players... for this week only.... Go Colts!

A matter of respect should be part of the conversation.  Certainly, I admire the Steelers for their gritty tough players, coaches and especially Ben. I respect them.  I have acquired a select hate for the Pats as they have the coaches and players we cannot pay tribute to.   They are the ones that annoy me the most.  I keep fans out of this issue as the question only relates to these teams.

One fans' hate towards another should not determine the football coaching and player quality of these teams.

It's fun to hate the Steelers.  I just plain hate the Patriots.  The Steelers are like mirror images of ourselves.  The Pats are the complete opposite.  They're smug, arrogant, and they lack respect.

always hated the patriots more and it isnt even close, for a while i thought the ravens and steelers rivalry was very overblown due to the 3 games played in joes rookie year, it hasnt been that intense since, nowhere near that, and the ravens and patriots rivalry is as intense as it comes, that is pure hatred between the 2 teams, not like the steelers where we respect them but hate them, the ravens have no respect for the patriots and they feel the same about us, pure hatred and 100% bad blood between these teams.

they are the only team that i actually wish for bad things to happen, i want their starters on IR, i want their coaches to get punished severely for cheating, i want tom brady forced into early retirement, i want every other player to get busted for PEDS, i want bellichick to be fined by the league for his bending of the rulebook and unsportsmanlike tactics, etc. i absolutely despise the patriots and i always have, the steelers are a very, very distant 2nd.

I'd say the rivalry diminished more around 12, when Ward retired. Up til then, it was still going pretty strong, though not the same as maybe 04-08, when I feel it was at its peak. Don't be fooled either, it might have been jump started again this season.

I have more respect for the Steelers brand of football. Not saying I don't respect the Pats, but I have less respect for them. As an actual hatred, it's hard to tell. Nothing might anger me more than seeing Brady screaming and celebrating after a TD. Was really hoping we would get the lasthma laugh in that game, but it didn't work out that way. I really hope they don't won the SB this year, almost as much as I wanted to beat the Steelers.

Still l find it funny that someone on a team caught breaking the rules had the nerve to say, "study the rule book".

Take off the purple shades and relax. So now you're saying no Steelers fan respects the Ravens? So I'm guessing Big Ben threw 12 tds in 2 weeks by accident, dinking and dunking, only waiting for coverage break downs? Yupppp. Yo may hate them, understandable, but you have to credit them. And the Pats offense should be the definition of dink and dunk. I would bet my paycheck that the longest pass probably completed was from a wr to a wr that game.

People on this site had a field day calling Harrison a dirty player, Ben a r word and Tomlin a cheat. Harrison just played tough, no comment on Ben and Tomlin is a damn good coach.

Their media and their fans will make your blood boil like no other.  They take their smack talk beyond the football field insulting the Ravens organization, degrading the city of Baltimore, and make fun of the deceased brother of one of our players.  Steelers fans say we suck, but deep down they know we don't.  When a Pats fan says "your team sucks" they mean it.

Here is the difference.   I hate the steelers but I respect them.   I hate they steelers, because they are a really good team.

 

I hate the patriots and I do not respect them one iota.  I hate the patriots and they are good, but they are also underhanded and cheap.

 

Fans too.  Steeler fans for the most part are really not THAT bad.   For the most part.

But here's the difference.

 

I hate the Steelers because they were our primary rival. Our fans and their fans love to trash talk each other, and we look forward to our games.

 

I hate the Patriots because I feel like Evil Little Bill is a devious, deceptive, arrogant, egotistic, and utterly classless butt. I feel like Tom Brady is a primadonna (not to his own team as evidenced by his paycuts) - but he whines when he gets sacked, he gets in the faces of the refs without being penalized, and rules get made in his honor. Yes they are both good at what they do. But again. Classless.

 

Thus, I hate the Patriots more. If it came down to Steelers vs. Patriots and either our position in the standings was rock solid good or we had a clunker of a season (and had no chance to rise up) then I'd absolutely choose the Steelers. If it came down to Steelers vs. Patriots in a playoff game? Damn right I'd want the Steelers to win. Why? Because the Steelers actually have a good legacy. It's our job to punch them in the mouth, but I'll gladly watch them put a boot up New England.

Who I enjoy facing more: Steelers. The mutual respect is admirable. Both teams know they're the greatest, most physical rivalry in NFL, and always end up having multiple scuffles..... I love Steeler week so much, it's made me like them, unwillingly.... In a sense I'm glad they exist and have the players they do because they're half of that awesome equation.

Patriots fans and Brady constantly crying against us make me despise them.

I think this is too soon. I HATE the Patriots as much as the next fan, but I DESPISE, DEPLORE, ABHOR the stealers organization. They will always get the "a" in there from me. This last loss sucked but Brady's pompousness afterward is really what is driving me beserk. I hate that guy, but the stealers are unbearable.

My thoughts exactly.

 

I have a great respect for most Patriot players minus Brady. Some of the best and classiest players out there. Lots of hard nosed, talented guys. If you can't see that, you're not looking close enough. I'd love to have some of those guys on our team. I even like Belichick, who is always voted best coach in the league by his peers and by players. 

 

Brady and Patriot fans give the team a bad name.
