Ravens Signings and Re-signings (actual and speculation)

So far this is a horrible off season. It's seriously beginning to feel like no one likes us anymore.

Torrey, Ngata, Williams, McPhee. We're not keeping anyone. No one is even considering cutting us a break.

Doesn't look like Forsett or Daniels will be back either.

Most knew it was restructure or cut Ngata and that's being worked out still, so everything is going as I planned, even though, at the start of the 14 season, I would've thought we'd come to an agreement with Torrey.

I'm starting to think that Ngata is noncommittal for 2016, and that is getting in the way of an extension.

Which is why I wouldn't mind doing cutting him

Well in fairness, he restructured. Webb and Ngata are being asked to take paycuts or extensions.

 

This.   What Suggs did was simply take money that he was due in Sept-Dec and take it now.  He's not taking less for the team, so to speak.  It's easy for any player to do.

 

That's totally different than what Ngata and Webb are currently involved in (especially Webb, who is truly being asked to take less).

jimmy is going to be a very interesting one at this point due to the injury concerns yes we can get him at a discounted rate if he were to sign right now however it could turn out like webb just as easily. it's a gamble. A game of chicken

I agree on Jimmy. It's a gamble either way but if I'm being honest I don't see him leaving this team unless he has a career ending injury. Harbaugh loves Jimmy and so does the front office. He's trending up as well.

Looks like Owen Daniels will be going to Denver...nothing official but he had a solid year in 2014 which should net him a decent contract and playing under Kubiak with Peyton Manning...Daniels could be a pro bowler next year. Tough loss but I'm optimistic we can find a similar value vet later in the FA game.  I also think Pitta will be back next season which would be tremendous from an offensive weapon perspective.

 

At least his 1 year of productivity @ $1M will lead to a 6th or 7th round comp pick.  Ravens should be at +3 right now losing Torrey, Pernell and now likely Owen.

If we don't get Forsett back I wouldn't hate signing Ahmad Bradshaw assuming his price would be fair. I don't think he can command too much with his injury history. Taliafero and Bradshaw sounds better than Richardson and Bradshaw. Maybe we can keep him fresh and healthy, which he's proven to be dangerous when he is.

It really sucks to have lost Daniels. I still trust in Ozzie though. It was kind of an expected outcome. At least we'll get some type of compensatory pick. He got $4M/average

I really think WR Denarius Moore could be a solid addition to our offense at a very cheap cost. Practically a Torrey Smith clone...same size same speed and similar production. Moore had a down 2014 season but the seasons before that was an intruiging deep threat. I have a hunch Ozzie has him in mind. Surprisingly NFL live gave Moore a B free agent grade lol
