Very interesting move..how much? Are those details out yet?

Not yet. I expect vet min with very little guaranteed. Probably insurance. They must like the guy

No details have been reported yet (that I've seen, at least).

He was set to be an RFA and there was very little IMO chance he was even going to get the low tender (~$1.5M). No one would pay him that - especially coming off of an injury.

They've done this a lot recently with lesser RFAs. As The Raven said above, he'll likely get a little more than the vet min in each of the 2 years and perhaps a small bonus ($100K?).

Supernaw back in the fold

Ravens assign $510,000 exclusive-rights tender to tight end Phillip Supernaw, according to a source

Knew Tucker would get a tender, but I'm glad to see Kamar and Supernaw got tenders. Hoping Supernaw sticks around a while after all the back and forth last season.

I don't think DGB is necessarily off our board and I think some of us are making much of what Ozzie said and adding words. Ozzie said, and I quote:

"The one area we will definitely take a hard look – and it will be tough for us to bring a player to Baltimore – is someone who has domestic abuse in their background,” Newsome said at the season-review press conference Tuesday. “Other than that, we’ll exhaust every character aspect of the player, but we believe in allowing the information to lead us to a decision when we deal with that.”

That implies that it'll be tough but not necessarily impossible or improbable.

That's what I imagine which is why I say unlikely but not impossible.

Sign one of the NFL's best young and budding cornerbacks to a fair contract? Nah, why would they? I think it's more than likely that they'll even go as far as to tag Jimmy if they feel they need to. I wouldn't bet on losing him, at all.

Crabtree to Buffalo. The quality wr options in FA are falling off the board fast and it hasn't even officially begun yet. Still holding out hope AJ will somehow end up here. Starting to think Ozzie will only add a mid tier wr in FA and look to the draft to get that potential #1 wr.. even if we have to uncharacteristically trade up to do it. At this point I'm just hoping we can get Denarius Moore or Eddie Royal and a decent corner before draft time.

Hope we can get it done

@RavensInsider: Instead of a restricted tender for DB, special-teams ace Anthony Levine, Ravens would like to bring him back on a longer-term contract

Exactly. It's like when the lions had to resign Megatron. Or the vikings had to resign AP. Or when we had to resign Ray lewis. Unless something goes wrong those calaber players NEVER leave those teams.

True, but Jimmy's also not at that level yet.

He still has to prove he can stay healthy for an extended period of time, and most importantly, he's got to prove he can come back from a tough injury for corners and return to form.

Neither of those is guaranteed at this point. If he comes back to 2013-2014 level, he's a prime candidate for the franchise tag and a long-term contract.

I wouldn't put him among those calibre of players. He still hasn't proven he can consistently stay healthy....Negotiations should be extremely interesting with him. Tough decision.

Interesting to see The Ravens gave Will Hill a low tender.

Stevie Johnson could be an interesting sign since he would actually have a decent QB throwing him the ball for once in his career.

Ravens made offer to Cary WIlliams. The other teams interested are the Titans, Jets, and Seahawks. Seahawks seem like an unlikely option now due to the signing of Will Blackmon

We need to keep Will Hill at almost any cost, guy is a stud and he was just getting started last year after his suspension.. incredible value for money even if we have to match another teams offer on him, as long as the offer isn't ridiculous he will be worth every penny.

Would be insane if we pulled AJ somehow and then got a wr in the 1st round

I'm sorry but jimmy is nowhere near that level.. Not anywhere near those comparisons yet

I'd say it's highly unlikely we could sign him at that price.. Just a thought

But also have to factor in what the market will look like and who gets cut next year

They really need to bring back the third round tender. First, second then Original Round only? Guessing the child support thing maybe had something to do with it?

Any cost? Dude... Terrance Brooks. We didn't draft him for nothing.

Will Hill plays SS, Brooks plays FS. We let Hill go, and we have a hole at SS or we risk Elam getting beat and being the weakness of our secondary. Or we would have a hole at SS either way.
