I still don't understand how we can afford him.

I am confused myself, but maybe he is cheaper than we think or at least the Ravens brass hopes so.

That's my guess. Maybe the reports of $8M are exaggerated or maybe we'll give him a two year deal with a lot guaranteed but little base and take the cap hit next year.

Or maybe we'll make more cap room via Yanda

Or maybe more moves will be done before signing any free agents.

Yeah it's certainly possible. McClellan, Yanda, Koch, Tucker, Jimmy Smith, Gino and Webb are all avenues we could use to clear up cap, one way or another.

I read that this morning as well and I do not understand how we could do it. I know that there was more restructuring that they wanted to do but Knighton does seem highly unlikely, although one can dream.

@viccarucci: Confirming from the #Bills that, per Rex Ryan's announcement on Toronto radio this AM, QB Tyrod Taylor has joined the team.

Nice to see Tyrod land some place he'd compete... Gonna miss the little stint he had here. Very fun to watch.

I hope this happens. I really like this guy, he would be a good replacement for Daniels and he's a solid guy, would be a great leader and mentor for our younger TE's. Plus, he's cheap!

I dunno..Daniels was a far better TE and a better playmaker. Scott Chandler? Never been anything really.

He's also never had a QB.

Look at the numbers. Almost identical to Daniels last year. 1 less TD, 1 less catch, 30 less yards. No QB.

Bills need every QB they can get. I want the Bills to do good for my father.

Haha he never heard of Tyrod Taylor though.

Good luck to Tyrod up there...he has much better chance to see the field as their QB situation is quite fluid!

Anthony levine details are out, 2 year deal worth $2.4 million! Not what I was hoping for, would have preferred 2 year deal at about $1.6 million

I wouldn't get hung up on the money. What's the guaranteed? He could easily be cut next year if the guaranteed is low.

That is the only portion that wasn't listed yet.

I am glad for Tyrod Taylore. The dude was mega talented and super athletic. I think if provided a chance he could do at least as well as Colin Kaepernik or at least that's his ceiling. Not a bad move for Buffalo or Tyrod. Here in Baltimore, given Joe's durability and iron man status (touch wood), he would stand no chance at starting.

If you look at the numbers they are comparable to Daniels, didn't have a QB, and as a bonus, he killed the Patriots when he played them. He is huge, strong, cheap, and like I said, a good guy all around. Plus, I guess there are pretty good ties with Yanda from what someone reported, so that might be a bonus. He does have some dropped passes and not the fastest in the world but this was Daniels' MO as well. Plus he's a few years younger. I think out of that market that we have, this is our best option.

People are confused about this signing. I'm sure the guaranteed money isn't astronomic and he is a great special teams player and with more work, could be a really good quality depth corner/safety. I like this signing, I think he'll only get better. We all need to remember that a lot of our starters in past years came from special teams and made a difference.

It may end up more in line with that given that reports are that part of it is "playing time incentives".  So, it may be something like 2 years, $2M with $400K (or $1.6M with $800K) in playing time incentives that are only earned if he reaches certain PT thresholds.

It could also be an escalator instead of incentives, so whatever the amount, that would increase his 2016 salary by that amount if earned in 2015.  The good part of that is that it wouldn't be guaranteed, so they could cut him in 2016 and not pay him.  But, that would only be if it was an escalator and not incentives.

Probably a fair type deal for a guy like Levine - he gets paid extra if he plays more.

Aaron Wilson reported a $400K bonus, so I would think that would be the only amount guaranteed.

I'm thinking it'll be something like $400K bonus, with base salaries of $700K and $900K, with $400K in playing time incentives.

So, that would be Cap numbers of $900K (2015) and $1.1M (2016).
