Gosh, Haloti Ngata, Torrey Smith, Jacoby Jones....How much more can I take? Whether it was the money or not, these guys are Ravens heroes.

We lost 2, Ngata and Canty.

You're correct. I forgot about Canty. Still, no. We've ignored WR for the last decade, drafting only 1 in the first 3 rounds.

Nope. In case you haven't noticed we lost 1 DL player but 2 WRs. Just sayin'.

2 D line players and CUT 1 wr because he was essentially just a return man at this point. Just sayin

Also lost McPhee...

How about DeSean Goldson? I mean he was very out of place in Lovie's defense, maybe he'd be a good fit for us?

He's lately been a liability and is no longer the ball hawk that he was a few years ago.

Liked McPhee but not an every down lineman. Besides, like I stated above, we've ignored WR for over a decade, drafting only 1 in the first 3 rounds so still, no.

Scott Chandler is very interesting. Satisfies all of the supposed checkboxes, too - released (comp pick), productive vet, could come cheap.

I'd reach out to him.

Can't believe it's been a decade since Mark Clayton but don't forget Yamon 'YaBoy!' Figurs in 2007. If you consider him a WR lol

I don't because IMO he was drafted more for his return skills which if you look at how he was actually used here is fairly obvious.

Everyone says we just don't "hit" on WR but you can't hit on it if you don't draft it.

He put up 103 receiving yards in his career, 43 of them on that TD pass in the Texan game, so that is a fair conclusion.

I agree with that and get frustrated with the 4th and later picks that fizzle out - although Campanaro looked pretty good and Marlon as a UDFA isn't bad... Too many Doss', Mellettes', Streeters', Reeds', etc

To be fair, with our QB carousel you can see shying away from WR for some of those years but since 2010, once Flacco had solidified his place here, we should have picked more than 1 in the top picks in five drafts.

Agree very highly with this. We seem happier bringing in an older veteran. Mason was already here, we traded for Boldin, signed guys like Houshmandzadeh, Evans, Steve Smith Sr (who's great), etc.

Same goes for tight ends although we've been solid there with a veteran Heap, Dickson (for one season), and Pitta. Daniels filled in well last year.

Heap & Mason - man, everytime I think of them I can't help but wish we'd found a Flacco just two years sooner. :(

RB market is starting to heat up. As soon as DeMarco signs I expect a domino effect...

I hope we let Forsett walk and receive a comp pick rather then lock him up. He was great for us last season so it's a difficult decision. Wouldn't mind giving him a 1 or 2 year deal but he won't go for it.

Lead the league in yards per carry right?

He's a shifty little guy...those legs look like they are spinnin but baboom ...hes through the hole and they aren't catching up to him. And then they can't seem to bring him down....they can't get their arms around him and he leverage powers them for 4 or 5 more yards.

Hes 29 and small, never did anything before and that will work against him getting a good contract but he has said, "Oz don't even think about a "Friendly Deal"....Forsett don't play that game"!

Hopefully we can resign him due to lack of interest.

With all the pieces we've lost its hard to believe we will be better then we were last year.

I'm very skeptical..........still, theres remaining free agency and the draft to factor.

Getting rid of Ngata was a clear red flag  for how bad it got.  You'd think Webb coming off surgeries on each knee but we literally got nada at corner right now.  Heck we don't look good at safety either. With Ngata taking 2 men in the middle we were the #2 pass rush sack team last year............really worried about that falling off and their QB getting time to scan our corners playing 15 yards off.

think of the healthy pieces we'll have back and young guys a year older

Mosley, juice, brandon, urban,Crockett, camp, taliaferro, jimmy and even webb who I'd expect to be fully healthy and make a jump back to 100% like he did before (wishful thinking maybe)

Really just need to replace Torrey, get a vet DL, get a TE to replace Owen and get some CB depth and figure out what's gonna happen in secondary with all of those pieces

And we have a TON of draft picks

Brando williams.... Fully capable of handling those responsibilities

Timmy Jernigan fully capable of beating 1 on 1 matchup if double team goes to doom/sizzle

We're good when it comes to TE's, it's a position that's always worked for us. We got our problems at WR and I think this is the draft where we take one.

A word comes to mind, evolution. We have to continue to get better and getting value for players is part of that. Trading ngata gives us room to work now and we have good replacements, we definitely need to address the wr someway, but to say being worse than last year... How about we give it some time and let our front office do some work.

I don't see how the Ravens are better. Sure we got our injured guys back but we just lost out on a ton of DL depth, we don't have Kubiak, and Flacco has no real weapons to work with. Offseason isn't done of course so we will get better though, this is usually the part where all the talent leaves us and then Ozzie does what he does best and fills holes for cheap

i think Ozzie might be taking a step back, saving up some cap space. Personally i Hope we

- resign Forsett and maybe a couple of patchwork FA's

- in 2015 draft a 1st rd reciever and go heavy defense the rest of the draft

- When we get the Rice and the Ngata money in 2016, we can spend it on

the hopefully crazy FA pool of either Dez Bryant, Demarius Thomas, A.J. Green or Julio Jones.

Cause this year is going to be a gun fight, but after Luck and Russel get their hundred mil, both those teams will take a step back. Sure it means Sort of forgoing this year, but think how good we could be.

Is Dez Bryant being resigned by Dallas?

Would be amazing but might cost a fortune.

He was franchised tagged
