I have no idea on cost, but I'd love to get him. What was his last contract for?

2y/4.5 mil, signing/roster bonuses included

Just helping out...

I wonder what would be Knighton's cost, he's a good player and only 28yo.

Heard that he wants 8mil.

Edit http://www.sfchronicle.com/raiders/article/Tackle-Terrance-Knighton-won-t-rejoin-Del-Rio-6126595.php?t=21703072620a4808f6&cmpid=twitter-premium

Wants 8, turned down 6. Don't see how were in play

I'm not sure he's worth that much to Ravens, we have pretty good NT on the roster already.

I know Brandon Williams is not limited to NT. Is Knighton limited to NT?

Honestly, a front of Brandon Williams, Terrance Knighton, and Tim Jernigan would be solid. Either Williams or Knighton could be NT, though I'd prefer Williams there. Knighton could probably be a 3-4 LE. He played 4-3 DT for Denver. Jumping to 3-4 DE is an easier transition than to 3-4 NT.

AJ is off the market, heading to Indy.

Are Bowe and Britt our most realistic options now?

Bowe, Britt, Stevie Johnson, and perhaps Denarius Moore are our best options. I'm in favor of grabbing Bowe and Moore if both can be afforded.

I feel like Knighton is out of our price range although I won't complain if we get him for cheap at all.

I feel like the Ravens will do what they usually do and wait a bit longer to get their guys

Scott Chandler would be such a good move. 6'7 , 29 , always tears up the pats. I've read that he is a good blocker but I'm not sure. Comming off 3 good years , about Owen Daniels production.

I wouldn't mind him at all but not at that price tag. He's a pretty big boy, is he mobile enough for 34 DE?

He's also Yanda's college buddy.

That cut means Clay goes to Bills, right?

I just did the figures. Granted, this is a very early prediction but I can't see how we can get third round compensatory picks unless Detroit, New England, Seattle, or Denver make a big or many signing(s). Here's the ranking

1. Ndamukong Suh $19M, Miami

2. Darelle Revis $14M, New England

3. Byron Maxwell $10.5M, Seattle

4. Julius Thomas $9.2M, Denver

5. Torrey Smith $8M, Baltimore

6. Pernell McPhee $7.8M, Baltimore

Now McPhee went to Chicago, who I don't think will make the playoffs so we're unlikely to get an escalator there. He could make the Pro Bowl and should start if he can stay healthy. Torrey is in a similar situation, but I don't think he makes a Pro Bowl.

Thomas could get hurt and he went to the Jaguars, who could maybe push into the playoffs. Thomas has an injury history, so that could help.

I think at best we're looking at a very low third and very high fourth round compensatory pick. Daniels will be no higher than a fifth round pick.

With our loaded amount of draft picks, anyone see us sending a 7th or 6th rounder for mercades Lewis (Assuming he restructures when he comes)?

Just thoughts^

Didn't Maclin get something stupid like 11M from the Chiefs?

I cancelled out off setting deals. Maclin is cancelled by Maxwell.

Had a dream last night that we lost Justin Forsett and signed Darren McFadden and he ran for 1500 yards and 15 all purpose TDs haha

Well I'm guessing he played 14-16 but I just remember seeing him in a Ravens jersey running like a mad man haha

Would absolutely love Browner if it gave Pees more confidence in his corners rather than having them play 10 yards off the ball every other play.

Man that crap chapped my butt every time i saw 10 yard cushions followed by a completed pass most of the time. Especially on a few 3rd & mid yardage plays.  Browner would be the best physical corner we've had since Chris McAlister. The Primetime experiment doesn't count to me. That was like when you gradutate high school, and go back to kick it with your old teamates during homecoming week. It was a well paid working vacation haha..

For the love of God, somebody please tell me why letting Ngata go, and resigning levine makes any sense?? Levine?  Are you kidding me???  For what?  To give our PS guys some competition; because he obviously cant cover any WR in the league!  Not to mention, he's a flea!  He can't hit, and once the WR's run by him at the line, he can't catch up!! And don't forget, he plays 20-25 yards off of the receiver he's covering, just to ensure that he doesn't get burned deep, yet somehow he still does (Or he gets caught with a PI as they run by him)!!

Way to go ozzie!! Great job! Nothing less then I would've expected from you!  I wish they would just fire you already and give the GM spot to Phil Savage!  Anybody else remember Savage? You know, the original Ravens scout that the all knowing ozz steals credit from?

We're still 5-6 months away from pre-season and thanks to ozzie, I already feel like burning my season tix!! Levine????? I just can't wrap my brain around this!  Yet ozzies ego just couldn't let Ngata finish out his career with us! We cannot take another year of having 4 "levine-type" corners/dbs back there again.

Stevie Johnson has been released.

Scott Chandler and Stevie pls Ozzie

Edit : We need go go at Stevie HARD, he got 30+ receptions and 400yrds for the Niners and he was banged up, didn't pair with Kap and didn't get much playing time.

I think he can still be a good target.

If we didn't pay Torrey 8M, I don't see why we would pay Terrance 8M. Guessing if Knighton came here, we would kick Brandon Williams out to DE.

I'd like to bet a decent chunk of change, that after this move, everyone mad about us double dipping at D line, 2 years in a row, is probably pretty silent now.

Nope. In case you haven't noticed we lost 1 DL player but 2 WRs. Just sayin'.

He had no cap room (his own doing) and had to do something. It was Ngata or Webb and he figured we had more depth on the D Line.

I agree it stinks.
