Kenny Britt and Jordan Cameron OR

Kenny Britt and Charles Clay

Britt is a very very good receiver. better than torrey.

Charles Clay would compliment crockett well.

its doable. Make it happen.

Something that's been eating away at me since Torrey's new contract details came out is the  fact that he essentially left Baltimore for less money. When you subtract fed tax and Maryland state tax from the guaranteed $19 million we gave him it comes out to $13.3 give or take an additional $237500-$608000 depending on which county you live in.When you subtract fed tax and California state tax from the guaranteed $22 million SF gave him you get $11.6 million give or take an additional $220k-$2.2 million depending on what district you live in.So that means he definitely left guaranteed money on the table to go play with the niners. If you can't call his decision to leave a business decision then whats the real reason he left?Any bonuses or additional money he's getting in his contract can't be that much better than what he would've gotten with us because of that huge tax difference. It just doesn't make sense.

Let him/reasoning why go bruh. Campanaro plays tougher, has better hands, better route runner...yes less long speed, so what. Campanaro<= Torrey. Gimme a Football player over a fast guy that plays football any day.

Forsett is such a tough call. It's hard to separate to what extent his success was based on the system vs his talent. His age makes a long term deal even more risky. We don't have many other options though, Pierce is meh and LT isn't quite ready for a full time gig, Pierre Thomas is also pretty underwhelming as a FA alternative.

I feel like we know Forsett can produce in our offense so we might just have to take the risk and re-sign him.. I don't see a better solution. Something like 3 years/14M sounds fair, that would be just north of what Gore got from Indy.

I dont think there is any evidence to support this, i mean torrey has him beat in every single statistical category.  Britt has one thing over torrey, potential.  Im not dogging britt because i want him to come here as well, but to say hes better than torrey is kind of insulting to torrey's production over the years.

Kenny Britt is a clown, too immature and unmotivated to be a Raven. The real FA wr's to watch are Denarius Moore and Eddie Royal. Then add a guy like Jalen Strong or DBG in the draft and we're in business.

Eddie Royal i feel is more polished then moore.

I think we trade up for Parker if he slips in the draft.

If we sign a Free Agent, I think it will be a CB or FS. I'd love to get Rahim Moore, but I don't want to get into a bidding war.

lol this Rahim Moore

I'd rather Ed Reed come out of retirement first.

I won't lie I really wanted us to draft this dude, but once again I'm glad Ozzie makes the decisions and not me. Might as well just find some undrafted player that could help our team.

Kenny Britt is a perpetual under achiever who will only disappoint you. Would just be wasted cap space.

Britt actually was pretty good last year, I would say his lack of stats last year at least have more to do with their awful O-line and QB situation as opposed to Britt himself struggling.

Have we made an attempt at signing Tramon Williams or Chris Culliver? They are nothing special, but both are solid starters, who can contribute. Can't say that about most of our CBs.

ever thought that just maybe, the ravens didnt want him back? if im interpreting the reports correctly, then the deal torrey left on the table was after last season and before th 2014 season. i could be wrong but if thats the case, its possible we offered him that money, he bet on himself and lost, and had a relatively inferior season to the one prior, and we found the contract we offered him to be too high, and out of respect, the front office just couldnt offer him what they really thought he was worth, which at this point was less than the 35mil we offered him a year prior.

its possible we offered a different deal this then the one he got last season.

also possible the deal we offered came with incentives that could trigger jumps in salary and such or things like that.

right now all we have is the duration of the contracts , guaranteed money and total value.

the difference will probably lie in small letters lol.

or perhaps boldin did an excellent recruiting job for all we know hahaha.

or he just wanted a new adventure since he has lived his whole life in one place.

or maybe he wasent so happy how everyone ran his friend rice out of town.

or he just needed a chance of scenery since he admit so much was happening this past season.

TBH like you said I doubt it was only about the money.

Rahim Moore has improved a ton since that game he's one of the better coverage safeties now. He isn't great but he'd be an improvement to pair with Hill in our backfield

Isn't gonna happen. Too expensive imo. Would like him on a 3 yr deal tho

Not necessarily so. We just cleared $8.5 mill, typically the deals are structured so the cap hit year 1 is low. We get Rice's $ off the books, Pitta either comes back or we'll clear his money too, and if Browner comes here we could probably cut Webb post June 1 and save good $ there too, or cut after the season to clear the space for Browner's increased cap hits going forward.

I'm not saying it's probable just that its possible.

Would absolutely love Browner if it gave Pees more confidence in his corners rather than having them play 10 yards off the ball every other play.

I'm having a hard time knowing what kind of costs will exist for the players on the market, but CBs are getting paid. Look at what Cary Williams got.

I think we're going to be addressing multiple positions in FA and while the money made available via the Ngata trade looks like a lot, it will get eaten quickly if we sign players with significant financial impact.

Don't know for sure, but Browner might still be more than we want to spend on a single player. it is nice to be in a position, though, where you can at least consider such moves.

Like the others said, he's gotten better a ton and is only 25, he hasn't even reached his peak and could be a great safety in the future. I'd love for us to get him and honestly what options do we has a FS? Elam can't play the position and Hill is much better at SS. Moore and Hill would make a great safety tandem. This Draft also carries a weak safety class, I'd take Moore over any of them.

I'd rather have Rahim Moore than Brandon Browner, IMO FS is our biggest hole. Browner is good, but I'm not all for it. Call me crazy, I'd rather have Patrick Robinson as well who's still out there.

I'm really reluctant to spend on Browner. I also think I'm in a very small minority but I don't see CB as a huge need. It's certainly a need but not as pressing as safety. Communication on the back end is far more serious. Moore would be an excellent edition to the team over Browner, imo. I've advocated for him for some time.

I agree. I've been pounding the table for a FS since we lost Ed. Moore would be a significant improvement over Browner.

That's how I feel, I also don't feel that CB is as big as a need as others believe. It's a hurt group and with Moore, our secondary would def. get better. I would love the addition and I think it will be at a good price. With 10M in cap, I wonder what we would offer.

Didnt Browner have the most pass interference or defensive holding calls in the league? If not he was up there.

Yup that's correct.

sure he has the talent and athleticism, but I'm never going to trust somebody that gives up a 70 yard touchdown pass on 4th and long with about 30 seconds left Thats just mental. If he had just stayed back they would have won. Jacoby's score was to tie the game. a Field Goal would have done no good and we had no time outs.

So no offense but I'd take my chances with another horse.
