OD got paid! We obviously weren't going to match that. He was a good player but he'll be replaceable.

Since we lost 5 players to Free Agency the hope is a Forsett re sign  That may be difficult as three other teams want him  He wants a long term deal  Would the Oz do that?

Have to gamble at this point.. I'm all for that

So if you were the GM you would sign him over Supernaw and Gilmore who are not injury prone  Why not work these guys into the role rather than acquire a similar Dennis Pitta situation  With Daniel moving on to stinkin Denver, I think OZ will draft the next TE.

From the Ngata deal we get a 4th, 5th and last round draft from the Lions

Reports I read suggest we traded Ngata and our seventh from Miami for a 4th and 5th round pick

Forsett deal in the works woo!

I'm thinking not only Forsett but also Jimmy, Yanda and KO all get deals soon now that we have the cap space to do so.

I'd really like to extend Jimmy right now but I also echo sentiments others share in that I don't expect him to be extended yet. I think we will extend Tucker to a deal less than his current hit, although marginally. Outside of that, the rest is a challenge to predict.

I have a feeling we're going to re-sign Forsett but I'd be a liar if I said I was okay with it. I have mixed feelings on extending a nearly 30 year old RB to a long term commitment. I'm not a fan of extending RB much in general but Forsett is a little different. It's hard to say. I'm afraid we may over pay for Justin, which I hope doesn't happen.

I don't see any way we enter the season without adding a CB, WR, TE, or DL. I think we somehow add one of each. I'm hoping we extend Yanda to make him a Raven for life. That'll make things easier. I wouldn't be surprised if that's our next move..

This offseason has been one of the most exciting for the NFL so far in recent years.

It usually is. I love the beginning of free agency.....and pre-free agency for that matter.

I agree in some respects, but this scares me as well. In reality, he could be another Webb waiting to happen where we give him big money and don't see him on the field...Jimmy has a history of constantly getting nicked up, culminating with the big one this year. Obviously when healthy he is worth top 10 money and the Ravens havent had a guy like him since McCalister. What I'd love to see happen is a Revis-esqe deal with the Bucs. He got 96 million over 6 years, none of it guaranteed. I'd be fine with paying Jimmy big #1 cornerback money, but It would be even better if we sign him initially to big money overall with nearly 0 guaranteed. If he shows he can stay healthy then slowly restructure to give him some more guaranteed. Im just tired of these recent contracts (Webb, Pitta, even Ngata to some extent) to guys who had an injury history or at least constantly getting nicked up and then costing us big time with dead money or large contracts that we cant cut when they arent on the field

Oh I agree. That's what I meant when I said I echo sentiments regarding reservations on re-signing him yet. Not only is it bad in terms of his health but Jimmy has a lot of leverage because of the contracts given to Skrine, House, Williams, Revis, and others I'm forgetting.

Absolutely, it will definitely be tough. Also Aaron wilson reporting multiple teams interested in Levine so that could be another underrated loss, especially for Ravens special teams and a guy with playing experience

Damn, that sucks. I hope we can re-sign Miles at least. He was better in my eyes.

Anyone think Chris Canty could return now? We have plethora of young DL that aren't ready(KLM, Urban, Tyson) and Canty knows the system and I imagine his return could happen. So we would have a DL of Canty-Williams-Jernigan which wouldn't be a bad DL if you think about it.

You should probably have at least Maxwell in there ;)

If we sign a Free Agent, I think it will be a CB or FS. I'd love to get Rahim Moore, but I don't want to get into a bidding war.

If Maxwell makes that much, Jimmy easily could make as much if he plays at a very high level like last season but most importantly remains durable.

I see that going either one of two ways: 1) he wants to come to the team he helped allow win a championship by helping them win another when he is actually on the team + I think fans would have no problem adopting him, or 2) he wouldn't dare show his face in this city in the fears he would never hear the end of the "Mile High Miracle"

Lol very well.

On a serious note, I don't know what he was thinking on that 70 yard bomb to Jacoby, but overall hes a talented player and improving, I'd love for us to have him. I just hope that slip up doesn't happen to us. Lol.

Something that's been eating away at me since Torrey's new contract details came out is the  fact that he essentially left Baltimore for less money. When you subtract fed tax and Maryland state tax from the guaranteed $19 million we gave him it comes out to $13.3 give or take an additional $237500-$608000 depending on which county you live in.When you subtract fed tax and California state tax from the guaranteed $22 million SF gave him you get $11.6 million give or take an additional $220k-$2.2 million depending on what district you live in.So that means he definitely left guaranteed money on the table to go play with the niners. If you can't call his decision to leave a business decision then whats the real reason he left?Any bonuses or additional money he's getting in his contract can't be that much better than what he would've gotten with us because of that huge tax difference. It just doesn't make sense.

Dislike.

Agreed!I'd rather see us take a chance on Ryan Matthews and his injuries,an old DeAngelo Williams or Moreno coming off his leg inury than add Pierre Thomas.
