Deangelo Williams is an absolute NO. Old washed up and I don't think he has ever played a single game healthy.

We will push hard for Justin Forsett but if he is too expensive there are plenty other options.

Remember this time last year Justin Forsett was just a depth signing and going into the season he wasn't expected to even have a big impact and yet had a pro bowl year. I think we will either go after another cheap RB or look to draft one.

Go get Jordan Cameron, going to be hard to replace Daniels in the draft when we have so many other areas to address. We need good TE's to run this offense, Cameron is a great fit.

What is your guess, 5th rounder?

It's literally impossible to say at the moment. We need to wait until the dust settles then guess. We could sign a free agent or two and lose the pick. We also need to assess the value of other contracts then negate the contracts that offset. For every free agent lost a free agent gained cancels the compensatory pick. That means a team like Detroit will get a third because they haven't signed any free agents, but a team like the Eagles who lost Maclin but signed Maxwell won't get anything.

We still have to deal with Webb. How much do we save cutting him?

I Dont think we'll be in a market to grab anyone this week. Got to wait till all this circus settles and we grab players on value.

Isn't it more to it that that.   I understand it would be difficult to predict, but assuming all we sign are cap casualties, then what is your prediction on Torrey McPhee and Daniels.  Is it possible get two 3rd's for Torry and McPhee and a 5th for Daniels?

I mean I understand that cap casualties don't hurt chances of getting comp picks and a big reason Ozzie focuses on them.  However an eye or an eye in fa terms would cancel it out, but not a lower end and higher end fa.

No to Thomas. Come on there must be a decent RB out there

If we cut him our secondary is completely bare. It's Jimmy Smith and.........

If Jordan Cameron didn't have injury concerns he wouldn't be available right now. We already have 1 injury prone TE I'm not sure we would want to deal with 2 of them.

It goes by contract and playing time.  Torrey is getting $8M a year so that's at least a 4th.  Not sure where it crosses into a 3rd.  I know $5M average goes to a 5th so you have to figure Torrey is no less than a 4th IF he plays 70% or so of the snaps

There's a lot into the formula, but the biggest factor is contract followed by playing time and then other factors, such as making the playoffs, Pro Bowl nod, and DPOY/OPOY.

With the contracts given, it's possible we get a third but it'll be very tough. Remember that Maxwell and Suh are the top two guys off the top of my head, I think. That's two of the three third round comps the league hands out.

Im not saying he is the best out there. However, with his experience in a ZBS scheme, cap friendly deal, and not going against comp picks, it makes sense.

so I didn't know there were limits but it makes sense.  How many 3rd's 4ths 5th round comps are there?

If the price is right I wouldn't mind it...can't question Cameron's skills.

I feel like someone might overpay him

Nope. Nobody is paying Murray nobody is gonna overpay Forsett

Cameron is worth the risk for me. This guy would be getting big time money if he didn't have some red flags, We're talking about adding a pro bowl caliber TE to an offense that relies heavily on TE's. For me the reward outweighs the risk, it's not a position we can easily just draft and we're obviously shopping on a budget. When you look at value for money at positions of need Cameron is near the top of the list.

As I said prior if the price is right Ozzie could potentially pull the trigger.

Well someone will pay Murray he has a lot of options to consider. Hopefully your right and Forsett will settle for what Ozzie offers him.

Oh, him? Yeah, he's on that list of FA's we cannot afford.

lol

probably so

When the refs stop his illegal contact he'll be worthless

might as well include Elam to that list. Asa looks great in Pre-Season games, but we need true starters and depth. Our secondary was ravaged by injury this year. And if these are the names your giving me minus Webb we better pray our pass rush is lethal. Because  more than 4 seconds and we going to get lit up.

you've got to lead me to the light bro. Who we going to get whose going to line up on Sunday and lock it down.  Next man up is great and we do it as good as anybody. But I'd like to start the season feeling good about the secondary.
