Yeah that's not exactly a reputable source.  I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen but this is definitely not confirmed yet.

Yeah Canty's tank has been empty for a while. Retiring or not I dont see him coming back

Not really that surprising; most of us, here, expected the Ravens to cut him, anyways. Chris Canty is easily replaceable, especially with young players like DeAngelo Tyson, Kapron-Lewis Moore and even Lawrence Guy already at defensive end.

 

And Brent Urban is pretty much his clone size wise.

Isn't Urban a defensive tackle, though? Then again, he may be that in a 4-3 defense; but, for a 3-4, he might actually be a DE.

 

He can play DT or DE in the 3-4.

Good guy, but very little left in the tank.  Had a nice career, was a good locker room guy for us by all accounts.  Glad to have him in that regard.

brady was throwing the ball in a descending manner for short completions. canty is 6;9 and never blocked a pass. he's fine to go. anyone know what the cap savings would be?
