Bring Owen Daniels back.

Flaccos needless throw is what stuck in my mind..we had the perfect amount of time to win the game leaving no time for brady to launch a comeback..it really was a stupid play by joe

His WR was open and the Safety that was in cover one zoomed over to help the CB. It was not as tight coverage as it seemed. Had Daniels caught that pass that banged his hands then Flacco wouldn't of had to take that risk at the end of the game.

Look Flacco shouldn't have threw the ball when he said himself he seen the safety sliding over. But when he did he had to make it outside so the safety had no chance. Problem was Torrey seemed to beat his man inside rather than the sideline side, so if he put it outside Torrey likely doesn't even have a play on the ball, so to make it catch able it had to go inside. Which brings me back to the first sentence.

The ball shouldn't have been thrown.

But if Daniels catches on the drive before, or the defense could actually hold a lead we wouldn't even have been passing.

Daniels said he wanted to be back and I hope they make this happen.  I think many understate how important it is to have a humble, hard worker that knows the system in a mentoring role. The major plus is that he can still be productive on the field.  He knows the intricacies of the offense and I'm sure could impart that wisdom to many of the other TE'S as well.

I think Daniels could go either way. It may be beneficial to try to bring him back to help with the younger TE after losing Kubiak.

Bring Daniels back for 1-2 years and seek to draft a dominate TE. With J Thomas in Denver Owen may likely choose to remain here.

the ravens on offense made just about every play there was to be made. thats why it tough to be critical but the pass in the end zone that you are talking about to daniels was a perfect pass that hit him square in the hands. that was the difference between flacco being 5-1 instead of 4-2 TD-INT ratio and the partiots only being able to tie the game with the last drive.

its a catch that should have been made and was must easier then the catch daniels made in the end zone earlier in the game. with our secondary the offense had to play a perfect game and that dropped pass was the different between perfect and near perfect.

Yep, I think we were in Tucker's range when he threw the last pick.

Owen Daniels 7 yrs ago was an elite TE. He will be near 35 by next yrs Superbowl. For offense to make the leap into the elite offenses then a talented TE in his prime will be needed. He is slower Now and if he isn't going to be reliable to hold onto great throws that hit him in his hands then what good is he?? He isn't a playmaker on his own at his age. I have no idea y coaching and FO would want him back with a free agent market that's loaded with TEs in their prime. And many of them have played with terrible QBs and have yet to hit their potential and won't cost much to sign.

Overall though Im not angry at the offense, Ravens secondary was the primary reason the game was lost. Coverage was so bad NE didnt even try to run and they kept doing those 3 step drops which nullified the pass rush. Secondary was full of injuries however and the guy who gave up the most yards was like a 5th string CB. He did his best lol
