Dick LeBeau

I honestly think he is retiring.

He resigned and didn't retire. He made that clear. He wants to be coaching in 2015. He was just tired of the Steelers I guess, we can all relate.

Too old...  The guy is 70 something...  I'm not wanting Steelers old hand me downs.

I thought he was about 100. Seriously, time to retire.

No.  We needed Teryl Austin.  Too bad, but there's got to be someone out there who can be a little more creative and aggressive even with the patchwork secondary we had out there.

Not retiring and honestly a monkey would be an improvement over pees

Can the monkey cover at all? Even a little?

Seriously though, Lebeau doesn't interest me. He really is too old and I suspect that Pees is staying put.

Yeah, Pees was the problem with the secondary.

I just don't see what he would do here. He clearly didn't make Pittsburgh any better with their crappy secondary.

Agreed. Expect lebeau but what would be the real point in bringing him here.

Don't have an issue with Pees but do feel its time to move in and promote another dc.

Of course we also nd to get some healthy bodies in th secondary.

I made the comment in the vent thread but wasn't really serious. Just ready for literally ANYONE besides the disaster that is Dean Pees.

Every year I have the very same arguments with his fan boys around here. Every single year he's been here and we only get worse! Not better! Our defense gets less and less clutch for every year he's here.

I thought he was around that old too... guess his wife doesn't want him home all the time.

Yeah, Pees was the problem with the secondary.

playing 15 yds off their man with the opposing team pretty much committed to dink & dunk. Yes he's the problem there.

Playing the run with a team that hasn't run the ball and isn't even pretending the're going to run the ball - yes he's the problem.

Zero adjustments throughout the entire game to like, anything at all. Yes he's the problem.

Bringing Doom & Suggs on the edge every single down when Brady is releasing in like 2 seconds, making them completely useless. Yes he's the problem.

I honestly think he is retiring.

The same way Bruce Arians "retired" lol. He just resigned from them and is moving on to another team.

Yeah, Pees was the problem with the secondary.

Yes killing the pass rush to protect the secondary allowing Brady and the pats to kill us using death by 1000 cuts had nothing to do with it

Who cares he will just pick plays at random which is better than basically rolling out the red carpet for Brady to do what he wants by choice

I honestly didn't see Pees out there missing those tackles....  or on IR with the other 8 secondary players.....  We were screened and slanted all night long... This is sad how folks do this.  NONE OF US on these boards EVER thought we would make it this far, let alone into the postseason...  I congratulate our entire team for everything they overcame this year......  it was amazing, given what we had to deal with.

You wouldn't have beaten Brady that way....  SMH.... You couldn't cover everyone.  They resorted to many different scenarios that couldn't be defended.  Even Harbaugh said it in the presser....  Sneaky formations... substituting O linemen with receivers and making them ineligible , announcing it and then the quick snap in order to not allow the defense time to figure out who is who was just wrong, and the league will look at it.... that's why the penalty from the bench....

I was pretty shocked by the news really.

I am not sure what team would take him..... he is still good at what he does, but he is getting old.
