Divisional Round Discussion (Other NFL Teams)

No DC would have made a difference with this defense ... Not enough horses in the stable and too many at the glue factory (Ravens )

I thought you were talking about the Colts for a minute. Perfect analogy.

Would love for Peyton to throw an INT here.

Rather see him score here and then blow it on the potential game-winning drive.

There's talk John Fox could be fired if the Broncos lose, would Peyton retire if they lose?

I can see John Fox getting canned if Denver goes 0-1 in the playoffs for the second time in 3 years. However, it wouldn't surprise if Manning has to get a career-ending injury in order for him to retire; the guy wants a second ring, regardless if he's losing too many steps, quickly.

I could see him staying for next season at the most, but he'd be nuts to stay any further.

That's like saying you didn't want to make the Super Bowl in 2000 because all the talk would be about Ray Lewis. In fact it would have been bitter sweet to make the Super Bowl and win it this year after the Rice incident just like it was in 2000 after Lewis had his legal issues.

I would have loved to had made it and win it after all that, and quite frankly looking at the Colts/Broncos game, we would have went back to the Super Bowl again. Whether we beat GB/Seattle is another issue but we would have went to the Super Bowl if our secondary was even decent enough, no doubt.

Eh, different era. For one I was 11 during the first Super Bowl, wasn't a huge football fan, so I don't even remember it. But the media is a lot different these days, with the 24 hour news cycle, bigger sports media, and social media. I have no doubt Suggs previous issues would've been a big talking point too. Really didn't feel like dealing with that.

I think we're set up for a nice run. Brady and Manning won't last forever. Heck, Manning doesn't look like he'll last another game.

I would  give up long completions rather than first down after first down. Pats was gonna score anyways.

He is crazy if he doesn't call it quits after this season.

Whelp GB is probably gonna lose and if the Colts or Broncos win neither have a chance against NE. Seattle is my last hope in the SB...

This "no chance" stuff is bogus...

That may be true but can you really say that either of these teams look good enough to compete with NE? The Broncos look like crap but if the Colts play Defense like this they can beat NE...

The sad part is that the media probably definitely talked about the Ray Lewis incident in Atlanta MORE during the 2012-'13 Super Bowl than Baltimore's first Super Bowl in 2001...

Yep. The media just wasn't like that back in 2001. Now everyone with a Twitter account is an expert.

Can someone explain why Fox didn't call a timeout after they stopped them on 4th? Unbelievable he let more time slip away like that.
