Trip around America

41 posts in this topic

I'm having the thought. We are deciding to go to usa a month to see how we get on then travel esp where, Europe or Asia next year.

Can't book anything to February, but right now penciled in 10 days new york, 3 baltimore catching a game, week in Orlando and week in miami at the beach.

Going in October. What's the weather like in miami and Orlando that time of year.

Orlando will be a blast.  There's so much to do around there.

In October, you're still looking at weather in the 80s in Florida.

sounds good. I'll be happy to lay at miami beach for week after see the ravens. Bit of give and take.

Heck, if I get lucky with the schedule I could catch them in miami as well!!

I don't blame you.  Enjoy it while you can.  I used to hate traveling but I've really started to enjoy it as I've gotten older.

Just keep an eye on the tropics, should be past peak season but there are usually some storms in October.

Been to Orlando plenty of times. Disney is fun, Universal is fun, Sea World is fun, would also check out Busch Gardens in Tampa for a day trip as that is a fun place.

Hot but nice. If you make it to Tampa I'll meet you out for a pint. Come watch a sunset on the Gulf of Mexico. I promise it won't get weird

If you plan on clubbing in Miami, it's world class.

Seattle is an excellent place to visit in the Summer season. The mountain and views rival Colorado, and the food is amazing. We're the best port on the WC so there is endless selection. If you come to Seattle pike place market is something everyone see's.

Ocean City, MD. Not perfect, but great, I don't know about the expense. Been there plenty of times, so much to do and see.

Yellowstone is my favorite place in the US I've been too. That Montana/Idaho area is really cool. Definitely recommend that.

The Grand canyon is a bit overrated. Its cool, but its like you look at it and you're done. Its also a 2 or 3 year wait to even sign up to go rafting in it so don't plan on doing that. Hiking it is nice, but I don't know if its worth going out of the way for.. Depends if you're really into that kinda stuff I guess. If you do go though then go to Antelope Canyon as well, which is near it. Also if you're in arizona then you should come to phoenix. Theres always cool events going on in scottsdale.

Im guessing you're from the uk? Ive wanted to go there for awhile, what are the coolest places there to visit?
