Divisional - Baltimore Ravens (11-6) vs. New England Patriots (12-4)

Needed Joe to play absutely perfect to have a shot.. Sadly a couple bad throws and there goes the game

Can we please a couple corners this offseason? Having 15 Dline doesn't mean crap when the defense looks like that

Yeah, sadly. He played great though. I'm still think about that OD drop for the TD. Oh well

i hate the announcers saying this was "the greatness of Tom Brady?" so the greatness of Tom Brady is throwing screens all game, i always suspected that was the case

Irritates the hell out of me too. We were in zone all game because we had guys off the street plus Webb playing corner and safety, so Dean Pees is not going to trust them playing man against Brady. Brady just dinks and dunks his way up the field completing easy passes, so he must be the greatest of all time, right? Get outta here with that.

Flacco had Torrey in position on the Interception that essentially ended the game......at a minimum Torrey should have broken that ball up......but a play for the ball could have won the game.........no idea why he got so defensive............oh well

manning would have been just as adept at taking advantage of our poor secondary..........but man.......we just gave them gain after uncontested gain......wild

He is a soft receiver. If he just went up for the ball he would have drawn a flag probably or at lease stopped the int. Personally I would have liked to see that ball thrown to Aiken or Brown over Torrey..i just dont see Torrey as a #1 or #2 receiver anymore.

Nope. 90% on defense and 10% on Joe's decision making in the pocket. He looked for too many plays downfield instead of scrambling for positive yards. Looks at the last play...he had 20 yards to run down the sideline, but went for it all. Also, had it not been for a NE penalty he would have fumbled looking like a deer in the headlights. AND his INT was forced and put the D in a tough spot in which they answered. Joe ain't elite as he still has much to improve in these high stakes situations.

Complete baloney- Joe has proven himself in many "high stakes" situations. Looked like he was proving it again, then he screwed up.

Well Flacco played well, forsett showed up, O line played great, Defense was a joke. 1 sack I think, and a prevent type defense up by 14. That was a terrible game called by pees. We have to get help in the secondary and hopefully our guys will come back healthy. Really didnt even expect us to make it this far so not too disappointed. Just wish it wasnt to the patriots and that ugg wearing baby

we won on all levels except the secondary. lets get it this offseason and get guys back from injury. look for the roster to improve and for us to be SB contenders.

well the only question now is whether to take a WR or CB in round 1, i would say CB in a long shot except if we had Jimmy this game it wouldn't have been so easy for the pats

Me too, I think seattle are a worrying team for us and I think if we don't win it all this season we won't win it for another 10.

Congrats Pats.

Now don't let no Irsay team or Manning led team make it to the SB.

Keep trying.

No thanks, you have your opinion - I have mine and each year Joe don't hoist no second trophy, you'll keep talking about him as a top 5 qb.

Yeah funny how everyone forgot that we have one of the worst secondaries in the league by far, and Flacco had to go against two really great ones on the Pats... but yeah, just focus on the fact that we have the better run game...

Don't worry, those two bleh franchises aren't gonna be the AFCs reps this year. Thanks for kind regards, now hopefully I never have to have this much heart stress ever again.

my wish list which should be taken with a grain of salt due to heartbreak:

a top flight corner to compliment Jimmy Smith...even Webby looked very awkward facing off against amendola and edlemann...hes just not quick anymore

a ball hawk safety that knows when to attack the football

banishing elam to the bench or waiver wire

a receiver that knows how to attack the ball........fast, tall...a jumper a la Boldin..........we have to find that man

a bruising tackle breaking runner......a real stud RB

That will suffice for now.........and getting our guys back from IR

Also, I miss the days of the ray lewis/ed reed lead defenses haha. No way we blow 28 points and lose

You're assuming Ed wouldn't have been on IR like the rest of our secondary. You can't play people you don't have. That includes Lewis/Reed as well as everyone who went on IR this year.

Brees isn't hoisting that second trophy. So tell me again how he is better? You can't.

Im done with you.

Broncos have zero chance @ Pats.

Flacco was the main reason this was even a game. Defense stinks.

It is absolutely poor decision making. Sure Joe played well, but he got impatient when it counted. When you look at this tape again, time after time you will see running lanes for Joe to make the defense pay ESPECIALLY on the last play that he threw the INT on to end the game. Sad. I thought Joe might actually shut down his critics, instead he proved he still remains under Rodgers, Brady, Manning, Brees and possibly Wilson.

Agree!!!

Trying to look at the bright side and consider the season as a whole, but it hurts that we could have (should have?) won that game.

Sure, sure...we're on our way to the AFC Championship game! Oh wait. One of us is in reality. 1) Joe fumbled, but for a penalty. 2) Joe threw an INT when his team needed a jolt and put his D in a tough position, and AMAZINGLY they bailed him out. 3) Joe threw his second INT when he had 20 yards to run downfield. Joe has his share of blame here. HE AIN'T BLAMELESS.

torrey could have made a better play on the ball on that second int.  Joe played a hell of a game. he was not a liability.  and dont forget Flacco was playing a good secondary. Brady was not. yet the game was really close.

you take your shot to win when its there.......Torrey was in position to win the game

Why he didnt run for the ball and jump is quizzical

I guess you never trust him in that situation again.........they were playing back, but the play looked there......I have it taped I'll watch again.

Its easy to sit down where were at and get down on the players but the team played pretty darn good a lot better than they did against the Texans when they did not even show up. I am a true Raven fan part of the 2% club and proud of my Ravens...This loss hurts but I know the Patriots know us playing good in the playoffs is no fluke they were sweating this game. We will be back next season.

Thanks. Right now, people too emotional to see clearly. Sure, I like Joe as our QB...but tonight was his night to put this team SQUARELY on his shoulders and practically single handedly win this game. Yet, he didn't. He doesn't have multiple SB rings. He doesn't have an MVP trophy, has never been named to a pro bowl (which really is a crap ballot anyway, but still). Has he even been named an All Pro? Sorry folks, but the debate rages on...he may be January Joe, but that don't make him Joe Elite. There is a difference.

Whew!  Close game!  Great game!  I'm so glad the Patriots won.  But the Ravens' organization, Ravens' players and their fans should be proud that they went out fighting and almost won.  They played well.  It was just not meant to be for them today.

These teams will meet again soon.  Might be a different outcome next time.

This post is a joke... He wouldn't have had to go balls out like that if this horrible, uninspired defense could have done their job to KEEP TWO 14pt leads!

Who said he was blameless? Not me, buddy. If you want to refute what I said, then quote me- don't make stuff up. Get the dif?
