McClain has been a battering ram all year and we are all glad he has been able to tote the rock. However, everyone here has to admit that when McGahee is healthy(like he appears to be now), he is a very good back. McGahee has ran well the past two games and he had one of his best games earlier this year against the Dolphins. I was wondering who you guys thought should get the majority of the carries against the Fish?

to be honest .... it doesn't really matter. there is no right answer and i think all 4 backs including parmele would have success running the ball... they bring something different to the table.

I was off McGahee's wagon for a little bit, but I think I'm slowly getting back on. I love me some McGahee now. Not only do I have a authentic signed by him this SFF, I think he can be big in the playoffs. If he says that he has been training light is true, than I can't blame him.

I just didn't like the fact that he didn't show up to the OTAs this season that much. I'm sure alot of us hate him for that reason...

Regardless how everyone sees it, he will be here in Bmore next year!

My vote is for McGahee! I do love me some McClain though, I won't lie about that either.

As long as we have Lorenzo Neal, all our backs are going to look fantastic!

I hope McClain gets the most carries. Almost every game McClain delivers and gets us the yards that we need and more.

McClain seems more consistent at this point but McGahee is still our big play back. Ideally you would batter the defense with McClain then give McGahee a few carries when theyre all tired.

I would be VERY scared if Rice gets a decent amount of carries, I'd be afraid he would drop the ball. As for McGahee, and McClain, whomever is the healthiest in my opinion.

see my comments in the Jalen Parmele discussion....McLain hands down....I would give McGahee 3-4 carries so that the Mack Truck can fill up his tanks on the sidelines...wouldn't be bad to get Jalen a few carries as well...seeing as though he might have something to prove a little bit since Miami wouldn't make him part of their active roster despite him leading the team in preseason in rushing (beating Ricky Williams/Ronnie Brown)
Would be Nice to see Zibs and Parmele returning kicks...that would be exciting....zibs averaged 24 yards this weekend...Jalen could compliment him nicely.

LeRon has power, balance, good leg drive, shoulder lean, agility and vision...the real deal all the way around. You McGahee fans need to get the Pre-ACL Hurricane McGahee out of your mind...it's ROLL TIDE here...MACK truck is going to put some real punishment on the Dolphins.....especially the fast talking nappy sucka, Channing Crowder..the ex-GAtor....Channing wouldn't see the field in Baltimore....A little ALABAMA SLAMMA will be in store.

I say McLain carries the ball 27 times for 98 yards and 2 TDS...most of it of course...is TWEEN the TACKLES!!!
McGahee carries it 5 times for 28 yards and gets 3 catches for 32 yards
Ray and Parmele might get 3-5 plays and 2-3 carries between them.

Hat's off to LO Neal.....watch him on isolation blocks, on blocking support and on quick counters and traps....the guy still has it. I love what he stands for......

McClain for the fact that he has better ball carrying... he doesnt fumble as much as McGahee.

Really they're both coughing it up to much.

He's probably our most sure handed ball carrier at this point.

Statistically speaking McClain fumbles every 58th carry whereas McGahee fumbles every 56th attempt. (attempts/fumbles) :P

I'd like to see McClain get most of the carries early on in the game to punish the defenders, then throw in McGahee to finish them off.

Yea, but my concern is he hasn't been playing as of lately, and we usually know how that goes when you come off the bench from a nagging injury, etc.

I said McClain wil get the most but as with every week they're gonna go with whos playing hot that day

I see it working out like this:

McClain 20-25 carries

McGahee: 10-15

Rice/Parmele: 5ish plus hopefully some receptions out of the backfield
Last time I remember seeing Rice play there was some sick stat where he was like 6/7 or something on converting on third down. Now thats a nice stat to have

Oh and I agree with Black&Purp, Rice has missed alot of action and probably hasn't gotten alot of practice attempts so Id be worried that it would take some time for him to get back into the swing of things (ie holding on to the ball, making catches)
