January Joe

Who is Matthew Stafford

I'll say this. Joe Flacco continues to prove how elite of a QB he is. 4 years, 4 offensive coordinators and how many QB coaches? And yet still continues to win and get a Super Bowl ring through it all.

How about we start taking this into account when we talk about January Joe vs. regular season Joe.

Because that would make too much damn sense...

If anything, and I might be wrong here. I'm glad Joe has learned from a lot of different football minds, from a lot of different perspectives. Iron sharpens iron.

I don't know how not not liking a decision is "hating"-seems like an overreaction. Anyway, the repercussion from pick #2 was far worse than from pick #1. But I guess you're a style points guy.

Obviously the repercussions from the second is worse on the surface, as it ended the game, but no one can really know what happens on the drive Joe threw the first.  I'm strictly talking about the decisions themselves.  The first decision was worse than the second and it's not even close.  Sometimes the other team makes plays.

True.  But he deserves better than this.   He takes crap from the fans everytime one of his passes isn't picture perfect, and then has to deal with learning a new system every year and seemingly not able to keep the same OC or QB coach for any period of time.

Rumor has it, regular season Joe has very serious hygienic issues... (I kid)

Regardless of who is hired, the front office better make it a point to spoil Joe this offseason.... Give him some new toys to help alleviate the misfortune of once again, having to build another relationship with someone new.

It would be nice.   But their idea of spoiling Joe is going to be resigning Torrey Smith and bringing all the WR's back.   He's just not going to have that really nice playmaking receiver while he's here.  And that's a shame, but again it also speaks to how elite he really is being able to get to the playoffs and Super Bowl with the nice toys the other elite QB's get to play with.

I don't want to poke a dead horse. I've moved on from the lost. But with the way the Colts played, would the Ravens have beaten them?

I feel we would have. For whatever reason Joe turns it on in the playoffs. Our problem with the Colts was scoring. I feel would've limited luck and Flacco would've went to wor along with a more efficient running game.

Football is about matchups. Historically we've played well in Foxboro. Historically, we've also played terribly in Indy. We've never won a game there. I can't say that we would've beaten them, and any team with a speedy WR like Hilton is going to give us issues.

NE doesn't really go deep anyway so it was a better matchup.

And this makes 6 out of 7 years in Joe's career that somebody less deserving than him was selected to the pro bowl over him.  I have posted numerous times about this, I could dig up the posts detailing the first 5 years of his career if anybody wants to see exactly who got in over him and didn't deserve it (and why) in years 1-5 of Joe's career.  The only year that Joe shouldn't have been a pro bowler was 2013 when he had his one bad season of his career.  Every other year, he's deserved to be in if you look at who actually gets selected over him, there's always been at least one guy who wasn't as good as him that year.

This is so very true .  Flacco still overall gets little credit for his play because he has some bad games during the regular season .

But when we get into the playoffs, look out! The AFC Championship was played between the Ravens and the Patriots, not yesterday.

Flacco is getting a lot more credit these days, especially after the performance Luck put up against New England. If he puts together a good regular season next year I think he'll make it.

But the Pro Bowl is meaningless. Flacco really should've made it in 2010, but Matt freaking Cassel was chosen over him as an alternate.

It's probably because the NFL is designed for such change.

If you have success on offense you're going to lose your coordinator.

Just like how we used

Just like how we used to lose dcs often.

The difference now is kubiak seemed more wiling to listen to joe and that may change how things play out going forward.

I don't care what anybody says, I would only choose Joe Flacco as my QB in the playoffs if my life and my family's life depended on it. No Rodgers, Brady (without the cheating obviously), definitely not Peyton or anybody else. Just Joe Cool for me!

Except for this last one.

Even if he didn't , PS: He did , Brady was throwing at our joke of a secondary and Joey was throwing at Revis , Browner McCourtney etc.

3300 yards 19 TDs and 17 INTS and Dalton still makes the prowl over Flacco. This is the third time Flacco has been passed over in favor of an inferior QB by whoever is in charge of picking probowl players. The probowl is officially a joke and should mean absolutely nothing when looking back on an NFL players career.

Joe Flacco did get opportunity to play in Pro Bowl. He turned it down. His wife, Dana, is pregnant w/couple's third child. Due this month.

It looks like he just turned it down.

It's silly but I think Joe and his wife are expecting a baby so maybe he turned down the invitation. Does he still get the honor is what I'm wondering.

Wish Flacco would get credit for it but I don't think alternates do if they turn it down. Unfortunate but Joe made the only choice lol.

Oh ok.That makes more sense than somebody actually thinking Dalton had a better season than Flacco.

Someone on twitter in the link loveravensfootball just posted asked the same question under Zrebeik's tweet and some other random person said no.

What?  What???  What??????  OK, off the ledge now.  I can see why he would want to be with his wife at this time lol.  So, we can't technically call him a Pro-Bowler yet?  Maybe when Peyton hangs it up.
