Wild Card - Baltimore Ravens (10-6) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (11-5)

Ummm... that is not what I said at all....  You have a way of doing that..... Go back and read what I said...  That the BIGGEST threat to the Ravens right now... and to me is Antonio Brown...  and with Bell hurt/out, I didn't see him as the BIGGEST THREAT.  We had actually stopped him/held him back when he was healthy.  There isn't an analyst out there that isn't going to tell you otherwise.  But Brown is our biggest threat right now.....Bell is a non-factor at this point.

of course he's a non factor if he's not playing, but you saying he wouldn't have been a factor if he was playing anyway just because we stopped him before is just false. At the very least he would have to have been gam planned for!

Nope, I have seen a lot of the other games.....  and I'm not worried about how other teams handled him, because we obviously did...  I'm just worried about Ravens/Steelers, especially today.

I think Arnie's point is that just his presence on the field, having to account for him, his pass pro, etc., will be greatly missed. And I saw a graphic last night that he has accounted for about 40% of their yards in recent games. Him being out is HUGE! I'm with ya though, we need to limit Brown, and their other receivers to short gains. Stay away from the big play.  But hey, we got this!  Right?   :bitenails:

I agree with the team sentiments that we're not satisfied with simply making the playoffs. But while they may also say "Super Bowl or Bust" ... in reality I personally just want to see them win this game. Especially after going to national sites where Steeler's "faithful" are out in full force, proclaiming that there is no need to even concern themselves with the lowly Ravens and suggest it is best to rest Bell for when they face an opponent that actually poses a threat.

If we can pull off a victory in PIT this Sat, then I will consider this season wildly successful, no matter what happens afterwards.

Yeah  We set the goal and can achieve more!  Believe it or not Chris Berman sees us as   could go.............> all    the    way.

Don't be surprised if referees wear black....and yellow.

In games Clete, tonight's referee, has officiated involving the Steelers the Steelers are 3-4. Good news for Ravens! His crew also throws a higher percentage of flags against the home team than other crews do. Again, good news for Ravens.

Bell Out  Heath Miller comes through for them. He is Always a major threat.  Brown for special team returns and deep threat routes. Bryant for their TD count  I believe he has the highest percentage of TD's on lowest pass ratio for their team  I still feel they another card to play.

Our prospective: We have three good running backs who are capable recievers.  Owens will play big stage. S Smith to catch all thrown his way because he wants this game as a crowning achievement.  T Smith plays big in this series.  Aiken, Brown, Gilmore,Jus and Camp are the intangibles and I hope Kubs uses creative methods to disrupt their game plan.

Field position and Three and outs are everything.  Which D dominates

Bottom line:  As the QBs go so does the game.

This game is the pinacle of Pro football wild card weekend.  Even Eagles fans will turn off their 24/7 sports channel for this.  Sisters and Bros put the good karma out there for our team, especially Joe.

                                                                  RAVENS

That is a parameter the media jocks don't relish but when we play them it turns into a month long debate thereafter  Good insight and intel.  Thanks

Just because its significant does not mean it was easy.

When you blow out a team, I'm going to assume that one team had an "easy" game no matter the opponent.

I hate having night games sometimes.  The wait sucks.

But, at least it's Saturday night, so technically, it's a shorter wait than normal.

Watching the NFL Network pregame show, the topic was: will Flacco's postseason season continue?

Kurt Warner had some game tape and said that Flacco's success against the blitz will be the deciding factor in the game, showing that he had a lot of success against the blitz in the first game but none in the second (one of the clips from the second game showed none of the receivers getting open and Flacco taking a sack because of it)/

Marshall Faulk interjected saying that based on the tape, those playcalls in the second game were always gonna fail, because he didn't see a single route the receivers could've ran to get open against that coverage. Said that Kubiak needs to do a better job calling plays this game to help Flacco and the receivers out. Thought that was interesting.

That was good and insightful. I think our offense should realize this already. I don't care if it's a call by Gary, a check by Flacco, or just someone stepping up, we need the receivers to make plays. Get open on the scramble drill, break a tackle to get to the sticks on third down, make a spectacular grab on a not so perfect pass in the redzone. If our receivers make plays, we have a great shot at putting up big numbers on offense. Heck, I'll take a solid day of crisp routes and no drops. I don't care if our fourth year starter or undrafted rookie TE. Make plays. Also, get good blocks down the field and turn a 15-yard play into a thirty yard play.

Clete Blakeman referee this game is pretty significant IMO, and not in a good way. The Steelers are going to get away with a ton of holding penalties and probably PIs in the secondary, and the Ravens are not the kind of team that takes advantage of that. The conditions are also going to be in Pittsburgh's favor. Having sloppy conditions will make it harder for our pass rush and for our DBs to keep up with Brown and the rest of that receiving corps.

Which uniforms are we wearing?

White jerseys today.

You can always check the game day page for that info. As the 6th seed, Baltimore will probably wear white throughout the playoffs because they will always be on the road.

Come on Kubes! IMO play calling will be key to this game. Obviously Ravens want to run but if it is not working got to abandon it early and unleash Joe no matter the weather. Suggs Doom McPhee make Ben's night miserable. Webb and Rashan be Elmer and stick to everything. Shock the football world again Ravens. Win!
