Wild Card - Baltimore Ravens (10-6) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (11-5)

When their fans start the crap about us beating them because Bell didn't play, we have the history of keeping him to  what??? 29 yards in the last game???    He's not our biggest problem...  at all.

He would have been if he played - he has almost as much receiving as he has rushing yards this season. Huge problem.

then you don't know to much about the steelers. He is fantastic in the pass game, he is also bens get out of trouble pass and is very good on pass pro. He's a big loss.

He's also huge in pass blocking and their short passing game.

Though even if they lose (not a fan of you saying "when"...), injuries shouldn't be an excuse. We have 18 players on IR, compared to their 3.

Posted this while I was typing. But I agree - he's more than their standard running guy.

On Monroe's injury, he has really disappointed this season, so it isn't that big of a deal.  While Hurst has been up and down as a replacement, I agree that Jernigan's injury is more significant.  At least Ngata is back to offset Jernigan's injury.

So, apparently, Torrey Smith despises the grass at Ketchup Field, calling it "terrible". With a lot of rain hitting the field tomorrow, it's going to be nastier.

Do you guys think T. Smith has a point there about the grass at Heinz Field?

If the turf makes Torrey play angry, good.

I like it when we are just an afterthought throughout the most of the media. Still nervous as hell but I think we can win this.

Being a universal underdog feels good, but what doesn't feel so good is Skip "4 SEC teams are going to the SEC playoffs" Clueless Bayless picking us. All bets are off with him making that pick.

Luckily for us he's just a charlatan. Doesn't count either way.

Brown is the biggest issue we have.  Then add in their two new rookie receivers as well...

My Patriots friend is rooting for us tonight. Helps he was originally from Baltimore . I think Mike Flynn will be rooting for us too, how could he even consider rooting for the steelers?

no. It was brown and bell. Bell is massive for what they do.

Why am I confident about this game? And no, I've not been drinking.

cuz you still have a buzz from last night?   just kiddin'.

When first hearing that we would play pburgh I had a feeling of gloom, but I as well now feel confident about our chances. For me it's the combo of Bell going down and everyone ignoring the Ravens. As many have said, it seems they always perform best when the underdog.

Play loose, play hard, and whoop some pburgh butt!

THE key to the game; can jen and co. adjust to life without Bell. No question he has been the motor driving their offense.

We were able to stop Bell in both the previous games.....  Held him both games to under 100 yards...  You can worry about what you want, I will worry about what I want.  And I worry about the passing game.

because we keyed in to shut him out and that let other players flourish. Bell has like 700 YAC yards this year. When Ben is in trouble bell is his get out. That's a major advantage to out pass rush because he just won't have that easy release. Also the pass blocking is a major factor, he's one of the better running backs at pass pro.

As I said, you must have only seen 2 steelers games all year, ours.

With bell out we can concentrate more resources on brown.

without a doubt. As much is the pass game as the run game.

Nope, I have seen a lot of the other games.....  and I'm not worried about how other teams handled him, because we obviously did...  I'm just worried about Ravens/Steelers, especially today.

There will NEVER be an easy win against this team.

Well, at least not in the playoffs.  We've had our share of easy wins against them in the regular season

Just because its significant does not mean it was easy.

so what your saying is you know the steelers well and bell was not a threat? Gotcha!

Reguardless if they win or lose. It was a success with all the distractions and injuries.

I agree, but losing to the Steelers is the worst way to end the season, regardless of how nice a season it was.

Ummm... that is not what I said at all....  You have a way of doing that..... Go back and read what I said...  That the BIGGEST threat to the Ravens right now... and to me is Antonio Brown...  and with Bell hurt/out, I didn't see him as the BIGGEST THREAT.  We had actually stopped him/held him back when he was healthy.  There isn't an analyst out there that isn't going to tell you otherwise.  But Brown is our biggest threat right now.....Bell is a non-factor at this point.
