Preseason 1: Philadelphia Eagles at Baltimore Ravens

Offense looked really, really solid. Brian is calling the right plays, Steve looked comfortable, and wide recievers ran crisp routes.

Wow. That play is the only thing that concerns me, the long field goal from Stover but he nailed it.

Our run defense is ridiculous.

Boller still comes across as eh to me, I mean I understand that he has experience in the league and thats invaluable but still I get antsy every time he drops back.

Stover is money. That lob was a picture perfect example of why Clarence and Boller do not start.

End up in Phili territory and Boller can't come up with a TD same old Boller.. I don't get how long the kid needs in the NFL before he is SOLID.. I think next year he needs the BOOT, he has had to much time to prove himself way to much time. McNair on the other hand 1st play of the game drives us 74 yds or something crazy for a TD. Our D is looking MONEY as usual, and our O is looking extremely extremely good when McNair is in especially. I love how they are this year spreading the ball out more considering we have 3 Money WR's and a TE, they should have had the common sense to do that against the Colts last year.. We Will win this pre-season game I know it but I don't want to jinx us so I will knock on wood 13-3 going into half is pretty nice McGahee also had a VERY nice run behind 6`9 Gaither from the MD for about 20 yds I think he will be the next Ogden we wont need Ogden , Gaither is as big and ALOT quicker.

Well honestly I feel more confident having Boller come into a game with McNair injured to try to close it out than Smith at this point. But that lob to Clarence is a prime example why he doesn't start. The two of them have tried that play atleast 5-6 times and have never been successful.

He was a rookie last year what did you expect him to become Dante Hall? And after tonights performance it looks like he will make this team or the practice squad. He is big, has explosive speed, and has quick feet. If he keeps playing this good for the next 3 games I wouldn't be surprised if he's the 3rd RB and we cut Mike Anderson.

The Eagles almost went to the NFC championship game last year, and they're getting an improvment at quarterback. Philly has always been known for their defense too.

I'd like to take a moment to remind everyone that none of our players (or coaches) "suck". They may play badly at times (or even all of the time) but that's no excuse for ripping on them in a meaningless fashion.

Now that the season is upon us, it's time for EVERYONE to take their game up a notch. Try writing a good analysis of a player's (or coach's) weaknesses (in civil language) without resorting to the type of post that makes you appear to be 12 years old.

I agree, I thought Ross actually looked pretty good out there. He's really improved his stock with his strong run - especially going so deep into the game so early. I liked his style of run up the middle too.

I agree! He stills looks nervous and jumpy. When he drops back I still have no idea what is going to happen. Its a roll of the dice every time. He missed some simple passes and lack of awareness led to 2(?) passes deflected that I know Mcnair would have completed. Although Olsen had worse statistics, he looked confident and calm which led me to believe that he would complete every pass attempted. Mcnair, Olsen, Smith.

I agree, Smith didnt do nearly as well as i would have expected, and Olson really stepped up and surprised me with his play. Boller still seems like he hasnt really changed, but then again, its only the first game and all this is speclation

Ross had a great game! For you to put that down is so rude. I mean what did you expect from him last year? He never played then all of a sudden Samms gets hurt and he is thrown in the mix. Not to mention Samms got hurt after he had some amazing returns. If he were to get hurt 2 or 3 games earlier Cory would have done just as well as him. Samms had warm up time, Ross didn't. He had a year, he improved, he looked great. You shouldn't knock him for that. Ross is a good player, if he wasn't they wouldn't have signed him as a free agent last season. Give him a break!

i agree you cant knock a guy who gave as much effort as anyone else on the team and who actually did pretty good after ebing in the shadows for so long. 5+ rush avg is money to me. Pruitt didnt do so bad either.

i see it as, as long as a player gets POSITIVE yardage, then its a good play, some returns get more than other's yes, but i think any Positive yardage is a pretty good thing dont you? lol i think all of us Raven fans enjoy our Returners getting those Big yard returns...(i mean WHO ISNT!?!?!) and we all are hoping for a player to Break away from the Tacklers and get that HUGW yard gains, but sometimes (more often than we would want them to happen) the players just cant seem to find that particular hole to run through, therefore...ending up being tackled for a minimal gain......but hey...any positive yardage for us is a absolute Good thing, no matter if its a 50 yard retuen, 30 yard return (punt returns, im talking about) for a TD or just good field position....its plain and simple ANY positive yardage is a Good thing to have
